Kurt, and why it's not that deep.

I don't even watch glee and i really cant believe you've had to make a post like this because so many people were outraged you went off a character for a bit. I swear, don't shows have arcs to make you love and hate characters throughout a series lol?

Daaaam bros, it’s not that deep, this show is fictional and most important a COMEDY. Ryan Murphy likes to do cringe and weird things in his shows, a big example, scream queens... just enjoy the show everyone:)

agreed, santana and kurt are both my favorite characters of the show, and i see so many santana stans hating on him all the time, when she's literally JUST as bad. They're both very similar tbh. It's very valid not to like Kurt at this time but if you're gonna call him out, maybe call her out too...hard to respect people's opinions when they're clearly bias (not joe, just anyone when it comes to the double standard of santana and kurt).

Joe the only issue I have with it (and its my opinion) is that last season you loved Quinn. Quinn from literally the first episode did terrible, terrible things. And this season you love Santana (who I think is one of the most entertaining characters of the kids), and there is nothing Kurt has done to date that equals what Santana does to people. The words you use to state your displeasure with a character who does something off putting can appear to be different if it's a character you really like. Another good example is say comparing Will to Sue. And you will let us know when both characters do something out of line, but usually you're harsher to Will, when in reality most of what Will does pales in comparison to what Sue has been shown to do. Now that can be due to the fact that Sue is portrayed most of the time as a mustache twirling villain only on occasion showing a caring person underneath. While Will has been shown to be a much more caring person, who does stupid things on occasion.

Not that deep, but I find it pretty interesting how you and others get so irritated by what Kurt said to Blaine being "bi-phobic" but when Santana basically does the same thing to Brittany by invalidating her relationship with a boy, saying that Brittany isn't cheating on Artie with her because they're both girls, AND the comment about her being "fluid but stuck" no one seems to bat an eye. Bi people who are in a relationship with the opposite sex don't become straight, they're still bi, but its still a monogamous relationship that should be respected. Brittany's confusion and her feelings for Artie are valid. Both Kurt and Santana said things that aren't very respectful in the heat of the moment because of their feelings for the other person, but only Kurt gets the hate for it...just a thought.

Kurt In season 1-3 is creepy, over the top, ignorant, and just kind of unlikeable though he loses most of those qualities in the later seasons

I totally get it. I hated Kurt in the first few seasons but he eventually won me over more, but I couldn’t stand when people tried to force me to like him when he did shitty things like that Hahahaha You’ll either like him or you won’t, but I enjoy your reactions regardless!

Hey Joe. I just wanted to apologize if my comments came off harsh. Kurt fans are really defensive only because he gets really nasty personal attacks all over Twitter/Insta. About his looks, his voice, and everything. I’m sorry if anything I said comes off harsh. There is a ton of Kurt hate out there even from people who aren’t a part of the glee fandom, and I’m just tired of it. That’s why I get so defensive, and it isn’t fair. People attack the actor too, and claim he hates Darren (Blaine’s actor) and make all sorts of crazy claims. His character and a future one is the only time I’ve seen harsh stuff like that about looks. He’s always gotten hate, and SPOILERS SPOILERS that Santana rant didn’t help cause people spread it around and just laugh, and use it to justify their hate. END OF SPOILERS This is actually tame. At the height of glee fandom there used to be 25 pages of arguing back and forth on characters. The worst one was for season 3. Maybe, that’s why I don’t see my comments as harsh, I am used to way worse. I apologize all the same.

Honestly, I never really liked Kurt. For me, the only redeeming quality about him as a character is that without him, we wouldn't have Blaine. He was the first gay character I ever watched on TV and I really wanted to like him, but honestly, he's just very unlikeable and, at times, problematic. Sure, I do find some of his storylines relatable (since I'm gay too) and I do feel sorry for everything he's been through, but that doesn't change how awful he can be sometimes and I hope you keep calling him out on his bullshit (as you do with everyone else).

Ye Kurt's a funny one......he has great moments and some of the best growth however personally I found him toooo demanding in the first 2 seasons. He was learning to become comfortable with his sexuality and gain confidence in handling himself in general (particularly bullying and family drama) which made sense that his moods would change ...... But he did come across as written too heavy handed at times. Honestly loved him in later seasons however. You're allowed to have your own opinion Joe, that's what makes reactions so fun. Getting same or different persepctives on things x

I'm sorry that you felt you had to write this post. He's only a character and from a T.V show that most people have alternating "Most Hated" characters on, on an episode-by-episode basis. I go between loving and hating the Glee lot all the time for various reasons.

I mean..as someone who never cared for Kurt's character I can understand why you dislike him a bit after last episode. But I also had a friend who loved Kurt and she never took my dislike of him as personally as I see some of the comments on the last episode taking your dislike of him. At the end of the day it doesn't even matter why you dislike him or why other people like him??? he's a character. Flawed or not flawed, the same way you're not going to like every single person you meet irl ..you're not going to like every character and they don't have to be some big bad villain to be disliked so I don't understand why so many people are losing their minds over this

Sorry you felt the need to make this post lmao, Glee fans are usually awesome but they can also be highly defensive of the show at times so sometimes I think a bit of perspective is needed. It’s like when people were shocked you liked Will after Season 1, because they know him as the cringelord from the rest of the show. Fans need to try and remember that this is your first time watching the show and getting to know these characters 🙂
