Cascade suit wip
Added 2024-08-28 04:27:43 +0000 UTCAfter the world's longest struggle we FINALLY got a usable mold to cast Cascade's head in. I don't think I've ever struggled with a print this much before. We went through nearly 7 rolls of filament before we got something usable. Which is unreal, but really goes to show the unending struggled we endured with the new Neptune 4 Max. TLDR do not buy that printer, it's an expensive nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone.
My grievances aside we'll be resuming work in Cascade now that we have a base to work off of. Before that however we're going to work on this month's tutorial which will be for a pair of 5-fingered puffy paws. So look forward to that releasing sometime in the next few days.

Yaaaaah I personally didn’t want to get the neptune 4 max having heard how much of a headache it was, but a friend talked me into it. If he wasn't a programmer I doubt we would have gotten the thing working at all. It's was clearly rushed to marker and is full of bugs and technical issues. If I had the money I'd just buy another printer and leave this one in the dust.

2024-09-01 10:40:10 +0000 UTCLooks great! I was considering that printer but opted for the Chidi xmax 3. I feel slightly more justified in that choice. Can't remember the brand, I think it was anycubic, or possibly Bambu (or maybe both) but they should be releasing new 3d printers in Q4 this year with much larger build plate sizes. Excited to see what comes out.
