This is my least favorite episode of season 3 and it's not that bad, which tells you how much more consistent this season is compared to 1 and 2. I understood everyone's point of view, it was just that Xander, Willow, and Joyce were being really emotionally immature about it. Joyce should have apologized for telling Buffy to leave. The way Xander positions himself almost like he's her dad in that fight is just cringe, being like "let her finish, you have no idea what you put her through." And Willow of all people should have talked to Buffy earlier, and not goaded Joyce and Xander on. I hate the way all the blame is still on Buffy in the end. They didn't actually resolve the issue, they were just interrupted by zombies. Not very healthy communication.

2019-09-11 01:00:12 +0000 UTCI interpret Joyce's Worse comment meaning that all Summer she had to focus on her worry for her daughter and the shoulda, coulda, wouldas of her thoughts but now that Buffy it's great shes back but now the worry she had isn't gone it's just changed to her worrying that shes going to leave again or get hurt because of the slaying which she may have pushed to the back of her mind or is an added "my daughter fights evil nightly" fear that's worse now that's shes back and on a Hellmouth. Idk I tend to see where everyone is coming from even Xander. Heck it took me alot longer to fully get Buffys knee jerk got to run from my problems thing. Great reaction though.💜
