I think Jules is at a place in her life where she's young and adventurous and wants to be impulsive and take risks but Rue can't do that. Rue needs and wants stability. I don;t necessarily see it as a fault for either of them, just who they are right now.

I still really ship them but I don't ship them as they are, if that makes sense...? I think that they both have to grow more before they can have a healthy romantic relationship with one another

Also I hope we get backstories for Lexi and Fez next season because they deserve it! I'm sad we have to wait a year for the next season :(

2019-08-18 05:40:31 +0000 UTCI'm totally with you on Jules. I think she's a good person, but very naive and quite self-centred. I'm totally against her and Rue as a couple because of the major power imbalance. Also, I've just realised she left her kind, supportive dad behind without a second thought and it's made me super sad. I'm optimistic Season 2 won't have a dip in quality because of how character-based it is. I think plot-heavy shows that have perfect first seasons without prior consideration of future seasons planned out then suffer from a drop in quality, because the writers have nowhere to go with it. Euphoria is basically just watching these characters grow up and navigate their world, so now the characters are established there's no real reason the show should go downhill. Wait for me to be wrong and Season 2 to suck though. I'll miss it but honestly I'm kind of glad for the break because it means Rue and Fez are still alive until next year lol, was convinced one of them would die this episode.

2019-08-16 23:17:45 +0000 UTCJules, Rue, and Nate all battle with mental illness. I want them all to be happy. That scene between Nate and his dad was the best... the best acting I've seen in the longest time. I hope Zendaya and Jacob Elordi win Emmys. The show has to win a few Emmys!
