As you folks know I've been working on this manokit fursuit and the last thing needed was the mold so we could make the head. After multiple print failures we finally have the beautiful mold! Only problem is my dumbass forgot to use mold release, fast forward to me spending several hours trying to pry open the mold to release the cast. No dice. Eventually I resorted to sawing the thing in have this breaking part of the mold, and yet the foam still wouldn't release. So I spent several hours pulling out tiny pieces of foam until I could remove the remanents of the molds insert. After that I spent a solid hour sanding and cleaning the mold hoping I could salvage some part of it so I wouldn't have to spend another week or two reprinting the mold. After much frustration, several minor cuts, and repairs to cracks in the mold I finally was able to get a successful cast. Moral of the story? Don't forget to use mold release!
