i know you want the villains to be more villainous lol, but if you view them as plot devices, it helps. like the judge was here to force angel and buffy into action, resulting in them revealing their love for eachother, sleeping together, and angel losing his soul.... the judge is then there to confirm that angel's soul is gone and he has zero humanity. (easy for me to say in hindsight, of course lol!) but you'll feel less annoyed, I think, if you just see the villains as means to get from point a to point b, or ways to develop main characters or reveal something new about them, or the world... if that makes sense? I agree with you for the most part, like wanting them to be harder to beat lol, BUT, for the most part, the more the show went on, the more I realised it was less about the villains she slayed and more about the characters and their lives - but set within the world. Hopefully you'll come to feel the same way :) Great reaction, and I'm so glad you loved it!
