the music Matteo listens to calm down is actually "the water" by Ry X, an electronic singer-songwriter from Australia with strong ties to Berlin. which is kind of foreshadowing their kiss "under water". and about the bottles: I think David was simply emptying them cause bringing them back to the store (which you have to do in Germany) can get quite messy even if it's just a tiny bit beer left in them.
