I love this episode. Spike and Dru are awesome, I love Dru’s nonsense and crazy talk and how adorable and loving Spike ks wkth her, then to one of the other vamps he just trashes them lol. I do think Spike is trying to be tactical, even when he is being imlulsive here. He watched her fight, taunted her, showed up when she least expected with a big gang of vamps... and he is the leader in that moment, he has the lesser vamps do the grunt work lol. But i think when joyce smacks him with an axe he is taken off guard and makes a tactical retreat. Better to get home and live another day (and take care of Drusilla) than to dust? They are defo fun villains in my opinion though, a definite upgrade to the master and the annoying one hah!

2019-03-22 04:10:36 +0000 UTC1) Joe, I think spike explained (to Dru) why he ran from Buffy and her mom right before he killed the Annointed One. That a Slayer with family and friends isn’t part of the rule book. He’s already killed two slayers so he’s not a coward, but if the rules have changed, he’s going to want to figure them out before he jumps back in the game. 2) I would say in Buffy, vampires have slightly greater strength than humans, but they aren’t the super-strong creatures they are in True Blood for example. By the way Joe, have you seen True Blood? 3) Of course Fisk would have a reason for everyone he killed. Too many deaths might be bad for business. But vampires are demons. It’s literally their job to kill (and maim, and torture) humans. It’s who they are. They will feed occasionally when they are hungry, but would certainly kill far more people than they feed off of.
