This is probably one of my least favourite episodes of season 1 and the series I guess. I happened to really love episode 6, The Pack, so I guess I have some differing opinions.

I have only just realised the photo on the inside of Willow's locker is a random picture of her with Giles! :) Laughing at the continuity error on Buffy's birthday as well... It changes several time sin quick succession, but it seems that the writers DO eventually decide on her birthday haha (Jan 19th 1981) so here she is 16.... :)

"I, Robot, you Jane".... even on my first couple of watches this was never one of my favourites lol. a lot of first time watchers recently have found it fun, and have enjoyed it though, so that's good. the next couple of episodes are good fun, i'm indifferent to ep11, and then ep12 (the finale) is amazing (in my opinion)

It has some great moments - introducing Jenny, the final scene, and like you said that suicide note scene is genuinely creepy. Two thirds of the way through Season 1! I don't like giving expectation spoilers (i.e. "Just wait for episode X of Season 2!!") but you're getting close to the show becoming truly great. As another comment mentioned, try to remember to stick around for the end credits of the next episode if you can. It's only a one-off, you don't have to remember every time like with Shameless lol
