2009 me would have been so offended and snippy about this reaction, 2019 me had a good laugh. Glee is definitely not everyone's cuppa, and it's not really aging well. That said, it does have it's moments, season 2 is agreed by a good percentage of the fandom as the best season overall. The characters do grow on you, most of them anyway (Still hate Rachel with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns!). New characters will be added, some good, some you wish you could push in front of a bus, there's some fun guest stars -- overall it is entertaining and had some pretty good musical numbers.

Oh my God. Glee. Wow. I'm glad you're sitting there and slagging it, it's very entertaining! This show is really everything that's wrong with American TV. A production team that runs in five different directions at once. Multiple writers with their own ideas. Inconsistent characterization. Way too old actors. Shitty very special episodes. Plot amnesia. Characters disappearing into thin air. A fucking musical reality-show tie-in where the prize was a role on the show. Live concerts with the cast. Absolutely shitty filler B-plots and C-plots. But. Occasionally, Glee hits it out of the park. Occasionally, it's ridiculously good, and true, and has heartfelt moments that are truly earned. Look for those moments. Mike O'Malley, who plays Kurt's dad, is ridiculously good, which is completely surprising given the guy's acting record up to this point. That shit came out of fucking nowhere.

It does get better, but you pretty much have to hear Rachel's screeching throughout 6 seasons. Definitely the most annoying character. Make sure you watch Ep 4, there's one of the football players you will recognize.

They’re his “friends” but not really that’s why they pick on him, cause they are trying to show that Finn would rather be doing something he loves with people he can actually call friends (glee) versus doing something just cause it’s popular with people he doesn’t necessarily like (football)

As a Rachel stan this was hard lol. But I get it, I didn’t really like Rachel when I first started but she grows on you and now she is one of my absolute favorites along with Finn. Also the actress who plays Rachel and the actor who played Finn were in love in real life before he died. And her voice is amazing! Also originally the show was meant to be much darker but then when one of the writers got onto the show they tried to make it more light hearted so that’s why there is a bit of dark humor in there. But I hope you guys will start to like the show later on. s2 is the best season in my opinion

Lmao Rachel is the worst and will continue being the worst, Tina ( the Asian) and the redhead teacher are both pretty decent characters. Also you will continue to hate half of the cast for the whole series, although who you hate will constantly change. And yes the main character Finn Hudson (played by Cory) and Puck (played by Mark) have both passed away, Cory overdosed and mark committed suicide bc he was about to go on trial for pedophilia. Lmao the show and the cast (other than a select few) is just a hot mess, so on that note HAVE FUN

the characters get better and have more depth to them as the show goes on. except tina i will hate her until the end of time. but the main character rachel is my favorite now after finishing the show. and yes that dude was the pedophile but he's dead now. and yes cory monteith died also
