I would say the reason why they keep saying "this is your last warning" and don't actually follow through with killing him is because he can do them more good alive. If they killed him they wouldn't get their money back, they could only do the same thing to the remaining family but Nano is of more use to them than Samuel or their mother so that´s why they keep him alive

2018-12-14 22:31:28 +0000 UTCPablo was the guy who infected Marina with HIV. That was a flashback that was shown from after Guzman first found out and how he almost killed the guy. Marina's parents paid him off to leave town and not press charges. The reason it's being brought up is because they think that it's proof he can flip out in a fit of rage and kill someone. So they think if Guzman found out Marina was pregnant and planned to run away with Nano, maybe he became that angry again and potentially killed her.
