Star Wars: Andor S2 Ep6 Reaction Edited

I'm so conflicted about this episode!! On one hand, I feel euphoric! Bix finally got to set herself free, and I couldn't be happier with it, but on the other hand, we have the Ghorman situation. I had a feeling something would go wrong even if this was what the Empire wanted, but I'm still devastated by what was lost.

This has got to be some kind of curse that exists in this universe where people just can’t be happy 😭 This whole thing makes me feel so conflicted and twisted up inside and I’m glad I’m not alone, so much went so well and I think the what makes it feel so bad is how Cinta died, it feels so unearned when she should have either gotten to live to see the end of the Empire or died fighting, this is just the worst possible scenario making all the other victories feel tainted. I could not be happier with what Bix did hear and it makes her future feel so bright! I completely agree that this pain will never be gone for good but it makes me so happy knowing that this was liberating for her and it’s not some annoying lesson about how revenge is bad for the soul or something. Of course Revenge isn’t a great thing as the desire for it can consume someone or actually fulfilling it can feel underwhelming, but for this example, there simply is no down side at all! Ghorst was so weird while it was happening, 😂 he stayed so calm when he saw some trespasser in his lab and even when getting on the chair he was just asking questions. But him not remember Bix definitely makes him more terrifying as it’s clear he has no conscious and doesn’t think about the people he tortures. This is such a turning point for Luthen, he makes so many wrong calls and this really exposes his determination as a flaw. He doesn’t see people as people but as weapons, Cinta being his perfect one and we saw how that ended 😢 He took so much from Vel by keeping them apart and it’s all for the mission, which while good, there’s no good in burning everything else down while trying to destroy the Empire. Then him continuing with the Rebellion on Ghorman even after Andor tells him not too says so much, all he cares about it making the Empire hurt, not trying to dismantle it and build something new, he’s becoming very similar to Saw in this regard. Ohh I’m so happy Kleya’s gotten more to do! The Actress is absolutely shinning here and her scenes kept me so on edge throughout this episode. The way she’s able to project this fear onto both Lonni and the audience while still holding a calm and focus face is just insane! You can always count on Mon to stand up for her values and what a time for that to come in handy! 😂 😂 It’s so funny how much she involuntarily helped with this and even at the end she still has no clue what Luthen and Kleya were doing. Gasp! Far too soon 😭😂 but seriously this death was so devastating and felt so undeserved, she deserved to beat the Empire or die a warriors death, not be killed by some idiot on some simply mission. Seeing Vel go through this just breaks my heart even more, after waiting so long for this, to finally achieve and then for it to be lost in the blink of an eye is just torture. Her entire monologue to the Moron was exceptional, her not crying a single tear felt so powerful as she knows that’s probably not what Cinta would have wanted, she’d want Vel to keep fighting and keep moving forward. Yeah this even felt like the nail in the coffin for Ghorman, their harmless Rebel cell now have weapons and they’ve given them to idiots who get their own team killed. The Empire now has every reason to go after them all they want.

Everything with Cinta and Vel is so heartbreaking but that’s for clarifying the timeline here, guess this could mean Tay fought back a bit but obviously Cinta came out on top, and I do love how realistic this is. Cinta is someone defined by tragedy having lost all her family to the Empire that her sole purpose in life is to take them down. She’s been pushed and pulled between this mission and Vel and when she got injured something broke and she had to take a step back. It’s just so depressing at the end of it all that she went out like this after Vel and Cinta finally sorted it out. I could not love Bix’s stuff more and I’m so happy with the players involved! Like I actually now never want Lonni to leave the ISB if he’s able to pull off wins like this! I’ve seen the actor for Bail on Modern Family but this explains well why he’s here and not Jimmy Smits, it does make me wonder though if this could be the start of Star Wars messing around with casting new actors for established roles in different time periods, so maybe even Luke, Han and Leia at some point too. I’ve recorded the first two episodes of the next arc and my word I this show just keeps managing to outdo its self time and time again!

Damnit What's with Star Wars and not letting Couples just be happy together?! 😭😭 Haha I was the same with this Episode it seemed like Things went smoothly, Luthen & Kleya's infiltration was a success, Andor & Bix got sweet sweet Revenge BOOM! and the Ghorman Heist managed to go well (atleast to them lol) But dangit losing Cinta just made me feel bad for celebrating Bye Bye Doctor Ghorst! & Good Riddance I'm so happy for Bix that must've been liberating. I don't think she's gonna regret this one bit lol that was definitely her medicine. I do think she'll still probably always carry some underlying pain the Empire gave to her because I don't think trauma like that magically goes away but atleast now she can sleep better knowing that Scumbag is gone and can't ever hurt her anymore, that's gonna be a big help! I can agree with the Sentiment that Revenge won't always heal but.. in some cases I think there's exceptions especially this one, if Revenge is bad then why does it feel so good?! 😎 Also the fact that Ghorst said "Have we met??" damn lol, it's like Skeen's quote in S1 "The Axe forgets but the tree remembers" Yeah this was the Episode where I started to become a little conflicted About Luthen, I think he kinda needs to realize that the people working for him are human and care about having human connections with one another, I mean we saw what happened with Cinta, ideally she's what Luthen probably wishes everyone was like where it's the cause first and do what she's told, everything else is secondary. I do know that what they're doing is important and there's the whole sentiment around "I burn my life for a sunrise I'll never see" but again it would be insane to expect everyone to have that level of dedication. Then there was also the aspect of letting the Ghorman's uprise even though Andor said No just because it will make a lot of noise essentially, but also has the possibly of get many of them slaughtered by something they weren't ready for. The Party was quite tense though and I absolutely Love Kleya haha, the moment where she grabbed Lonni's hand saying "Do as I say!" as he got scared and tried to walk off.. my god she even scared me, this is definitely a Woman I do not want to cross lol 😬 It's also so funny that Mon accidentally helped without even realizing it when she got into an argument with Mr Krennic, that was her just standing up for her values but it came in clutch especially as Kleya was having trouble which required more time. Thank You Mon you MVP! 🤣 Then Losing Cinta especially in that way felt like a literal blow to the gut (too soon for jokes?? 😬) My heart just breaks for Vel now 😭 finally gets to have the moment she's always wanted after waiting and being hurt but it all gets ripped away like that. Her reprimanding the Moron who got her killed felt so satisfying though not a single tear, such a strong person she handled that better than most probably would. Anyways atleast it seems like the Ghorman's have made a "successful" robbery of the Empire and "got away" It looks fine now but we all know what this is gonna mean down the line later and I'm nervous 😬

On Cinta / Vel Cintas Accident was either during the Tay incident, or after (I don't think we've been told specifics yet) So yeah, she had her accident, and her time recovering led her to stop and think about things, and that's when she realised how much Vel meant to her (Very realistic actually, especially where such deep rooted trauma is involved, we busy ourselves, we keep moving, to not have to face the pain, but it's when we can't run anymore that it catches up with us, can only run for so long. Something I had to learn firsthand) On Bix: Yeah, The scene where you see Lonni walking off leaving Heert to go over the brief and "calibrate his enthusiasm" he basically B-lines straight to go pass that info on to Luthen, of course leading to Luthen sending Bix on Gorst! And on Bail: Unfortunately Jimmy Smits was unavailable to reprise his role, so they had to get someone else in as Bail, as he's quite instrumental to the whole... rebellion thing. I can't remember the new actors name off the top of my head, but he does great! No spoilers of course, but you're heading into my personal favourite arc in the show :D VERY excited to see your take on the next 3 episodes (Specifically) but all the remaining episodes are OUTSTANDING of course
