Star Wars: Andor S2 Ep5 Reaction Edited

The Ghorman Front is filling me with so much concern! I love their energy and passion, but Andor sees the reality: they're inexperienced and are doing exactly what Dedra wants them to do. Wil's situation is even more alarming; he's getting way too cosy with Saw for my liking!

Another great mid-arc episode and there's better yet to come. I love how Syril is putting up such a good act in this and the last episode that the audience is left second guessing how much of it is acting. He is good at it and happy to do it, justifying it with the unfortunately false premise he was fed to. "To bait Ghorman as a prize for outside agitators". I almost feel bad for Syril, he is serving towards a goal far worse than he understands but then again he is serving the Empire extremely willingly so my sympathy is very limited. Also a slight correction: the Ghorman Front read from his file that he was "fired by the ISB" not "from the ISB" which is true. The ISB did fire him from Morlana One which makes him all the more perfect plant for Dedra's plan. Cassian being able to switch up the act like Luthen and Mon shows how much he has learned. He really is an expert operative at this point, schooling the Ghorman Front in their tactics like a master at the craft. And then we have young Wilmon getting radicalized by Saw. Not surprising, he has a lot of hate in him for what the Empire did to his father. He is exactly the kind of person extremists like Saw appeal to. Looking forward to watching episode 6 when I have the time, I really gotta start catching up, the next arc is my favourite so I don't want to show up too late.

Who you talking about, me or someone in the show? 😵‍💫 😂

I don’t even want to imagine what their ‘fun’ time would be like 😂 I half expect the two of them to spend like 30 minutes being perfectionists and neat freaks by carefully folding and putting away their clothes before actually doing anything 🤣 Seeing Andor get to put up a façade like Luthen was so awesome! Pretty sure with that get up and demeanour he could charm the pants off pretty much anyone, makes sense why Luthen didn’t want Bix coming along as I think we already know no work would get done! Loved his scene talking to the bellhop and finding out the local sentiment surrounding the Empire’s presence, it’s a great way for him to connect and get information while also just igniting more sparks for people to fight. The Tarkin Massacre still sounds horrifying, even after hearing this, I’d still say they were civilians, unarmed protesters who just didn’t want him there, not causing any harm and just taking up space. Tarkin’s response was to open fire. It honestly doesn’t even surprise me at this point, it’s something he’d so easily do. Andor took such control over this small meeting with Enza, fully making the Ghorman Front look like a bunch of floundering infants who are just throwing a tantrum against an authority who has complete control. It was so impressive to see Andor point out every single flaw and it really goes to show what a good teach Luthen has been to him! That’s what I love so much about this show, we’ve only just been introduced to the Ghorman Front and already we have this desire to see them win, they have such passion and spirit to fight yet as the audience we know the larger plan, they are under complete control by the Empire and there is nothing they can do to win, if they fight they fall into the Empire’s plan, if they don’t their still under Imperial occupation. This was a really good look as Saw in a far more casual setting where he’s just preparing for a mission and dealing with his personnel, of course I’m terrified for Wilmon but it’s clear that Saw isn’t completely off his rocker and has some rational to what he does. It scares me so much how Wil and Saw are able to relate like this but it makes so much sense, Luthen is careful and meticulous, while Saw is passionate and acts on instinct, one clearly aligns more with what we’ve seen from Wil. The Rhydo is also such a great metaphor, and I like to think that Saw is also testing Wil by putting him under this kind of pressure, he wants to know everything about Wil as he’s already spotted the similarities. This really does feel like when Ezra and Sabine met Saw, the young get swept up in passion Saw gives off but hopefully Wil will follow in their footsteps and realise himself that Saw is just not in his right mind! Ohhh this is such a good idea! Thrawn would have a field day in the gallery, I love the thought of him passing out after witnessing it all but also think the scene could be incredibly dark as well, seeing both Luthen and Thrawn in the same room, just discussing art while not realising just how much power each other hold. I’m so excited for the next episode now, Luthen and Kleya have their own thing to do so we can see them in action together, and then I’m really hoping some miracle can happen that helps the Ghorman Front even though it feels like their fate is simply set in stone at this point.

He's like Nemik except if Nemik never understood revolution or what it takes to move forward

"You Have an Hour"-Dedra "Are you kidding me?!"-Syril Come on Syril there's a lot that can be accomplished in an hour hahaha 😏 But at the same time with their weird & awkward dynamic I don't really wanna picture what goes on behind closed doors 😬😬🤣🤣 Man watching Mr "Varian Skye" this Episode was very enjoyable 😁 I'm so used to just Andor being Andor but It was so fun to see him almost act as someone eccentric and different almost like Luthen does, That one moment coincidentally what you have as the Thumbnail where he checked into the Hotel removed his shades and introduced himself.. 😎 I'd be lying if I said a part of me wasn't charmed by his demeanor in a way 😂 probably a good thing I wasn't working that front desk 🤣🤣 Yeah despite putting on a character it was quite wholesome to see Andor still Empathetic to one of the hotel Staff and winning their trust, he's bringing out everyone's inner rebellion in his own way, as their codephrase says "I have friends everywhere" it's important to build those networks & contacts because you never know if it might come in handy. Also just to put into prospective the "Tarkin Massacre" Tarkin didn't open fire on Civilians, basically he was paying a visit to Ghorman and the locals didn't want him arriving so many of them gathered around his Landing zone to make sure his shuttle couldn't land making sure he knew he was unwelcome.. and instead of diverting to another spot to land or ordering ground troops to move everyone he just landed on top of them crushing them all no hesitation or second thought 😬 Andor really has come such a long way to be able to point out every single flaw & crack the Ghorman front were making right off the bat from his meeting with Enza in the cafe, Despite our sometimes mixed feelings on Luthen he really has taught Andor a lot lol and it's become very useful. But yeah it's unfortunate to see how Desperate the Ghorman front are, you just know they're gonna go ahead with this Plan no matter what, they've put too much faith and planning ahead into it, I can't really blame them because we obviously know the Big Picture and what the Empire's doing to Ghorman really can't stand but it all really is a lose lose situation for them. Oh Saw, Classic Saw 😂 I actually quite liked him this Episode minus the one line where he suggested killing off Wilmon, even though he is crazy it's nice to still see his competence and how his Paranoia can pay off, he knew Pluti was probably a spy the second he asked for info on what Station they're hitting. Then there's nothing like talking about your first experience with Rhydo right when Wil is infiltrating a Pipeline that very well could explode if distracted 🤣 Saw really brought out Wil's inner rebel though, you just know that because the Empire killed his Father in that cruel & unnecessary way he has that "fuel" burning inside him and Saw knows how to speak to that, like Wilmon literally threw a Bomb in the middle of the Funeral out of Anger last season. it's very easy to see why so many Rebels rally behind this man especially the younger/more susceptible type like how Ezra & Sabine found his way appealing at one point. And Lastly because you Brought up Thrawn this Episode I gotta say something I'd really like to see is Thrawn paying a visit to Luthen's Art Gallery 🏛️ You just know Thrawn would probably pass out from overstimulation he'd be a Kid in a Candy store 🤣 Man someone give us a scene of Luthen, Kleya & Thrawn discussing Art pleasee hahaha Anyways looks like Luthen & Kleya are off to a Party to Infiltrate so hopefully that goes smoothly. And I hope by some miracle something falls through and this operation the Ghorman's have planned and it doesn't go ahead, or the Plan adapts and the Empire misses something if it actually goes through but it feels too well thought out by them at the minute so all I can say is I'm nervous for what could come back to bite them if the Ghorman Front go ahead 😬
