i could prob keep saying "cozier" a million times when comparing to skam og but italia episode 1 is the same plot but isak's POV was very distant and cold - he wasn't even friends with mahdi in the bathtub and maybe even magnus - didn't show any big connection with jonas in episode (wouldn't really know he was his best friend without prior seasons) - and girls were just other classmates at school (even though past relationship with eva...it was strained) and at best tolerated his flatmates. i feel like everything was set a cooler color, too. episode gave a sense of isolation (obv straight from bathroom hook-up scene) and not fitting in.

2018-10-21 02:46:33 +0000 UTCi love little scenes they've remixed to something fresh - like talk about weed with sana in window and through text while also asking fede about the party and looking for lost item. i feel like they remix things in ways that make it cozier. isak's relationships with the girls was near non-existent leading to season 3 (exception of eva). here you can tell they are in the same general friend group and it would be natural to have a party with all of them in it (though it's "technically" more strained now because of break-up from season 1...but it's just the boys trying to get out of obligations lol)

2018-10-21 02:39:42 +0000 UTCthe boy group friendship seems a lot tighter in this version. esp martino & gio - isak & jonas were best friends in original, but we never got to see this more "intimate" side - we only saw them outside and here we are getting a closer inside look. and gio is a lot more "cushy" (maybe just drunk/hung-over relaxed feeling) but we would never have seen more interaction than bro hugs in original. here we really do see a more intimate relationship and see how martino separates himself like he is wary of a boundary he doesn't want to cross and ruin their relationship. i can see how hard it will be on both of them as the season progresses if similar to original
