BUGFIX RELEASE!

Hi everyone!

There was a bug in the latest update that for some reason didn't show up in testing, that was causing an error message to pop up after you captured Rachel. This has been fixed, and the download links in the original release post have been updated to the latest 0.18.6a version. Please download again to fix the issue!

Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone! Tennis balls, whiffle bats and other implements to batter me with have been provided, but it's almost 2:30pm here and I haven't eaten anything yet today, so if you could wait until after I've eaten lunch..?

No..? Okay, that's fair. Have at it, then!

(Ouch!)

Are you sure you're on 0.18.6a and not 0.18.6? What error are you getting, exactly? What does the traceback.txt log in your game folder say?

Hmm, very strange... that WAS a bug from two versions or so ago, but it was fixed. Seems like it's back again! I'll take a look.

I'm getting an error whenever I try to check on captives in the dungeon after updating

But of course we'd feed ya: a starving artiste does not make for an effective exterminator; discipline must be practical and pragmatic to be meaningful

I got that but the battle ends when I use the mc lust attack after defeating her, so I was able to get past it

I just tried it out after stocking up on pizza so I could beat it some way other than the lust fight. It looks like if the support character strikes the killing blow on Ophelia or Rachel (not sure about the others, but from what you said I'd guess with them as well) the fight doesn't stop, but if the MC strikes the killing blow even after it goes into the endless fight cycle it finishes properly.

Matthew Evan Davis

Yeah, I didn't have it either during bug testing, which is very annoying :P I think it might have been related to how you won the fight, even though that doesn't make much sense...

The code for all the fights is identical so if one fight is glitching, all fights should be glitching (it's the same code, not duplicated or anything). So are all fights glitching out, or just that one? Are you finishing the fight with any particular move? Do other moves finish the fight correctly? Is it failing when the frontline character deals the final blow, or the support character, or both?

Depends on whether or not I get fed, I guess... ;P

Weird can't say I had that problem...it's funny how one variable difference makes the game nope out

Jason Nichols

I hate to mention it, but the Ophelia fight never ends for me. I am using Noelle as my support and primarily lust attacks, but once she's beaten the overlay with the options disappears and the fight just keeps continuing. No matter how often I beat her, it just doesn't stop.

Matthew Evan Davis

Nah, we're just gonna lock ya up in the Debugger's Room instead until we've received confirmation that you've finished the pest control run, no matter how many nights it takes instead (whether this more merciful or cruel is for you to determine...)
