It's blatantly clear that this whole Ezra situation was something the writer's pulled out of their ass when they noticed how much the fans like the Toby reveal (a plot line that the writers actually put work into to seem believable). I feel so bad for Ian Harding, I'm sure he didn't sign up for this show only to have his character shat on once the show writers couldn't think of anything else to do.

Replying to a comment you made above regarding Paige, I don't think she's changed that much. She has always done what she thinks is best for her no matter what others want, and while that in later years came in the form of protecting Emily because she loved her and didn't want to lose her that doesn't change the fact that he underlying motivation was selfish and didn't always benefit Emily. She drowned Emily in season one because she was afraid of how Emily made her feel and threatened by Emily's talent as a swimmer which put her place on the team in jeopardy. When she was clashing with Spencer after she and Emily started dating it was because she thought Spencer posed a threat the her relationship and she lashed out as a result. After she found out A was back she went behind Emily's back to help Caleb investigate, even though she knew Emily wouldn't want her to. When Emily had to give up swimming she went behind Emily's back to the college scout to try and make sure she and Emily ended up in college together, even though Emily had asked her to let it go and had made peace with the fact that her college career was over. The ensuing incident with the coach gave her false hope for her future because his interest in her was predicated on the idea that she was still a star swimmer. Finally, she just revealed to the police that Alison was alive, partly because she was afraid of A's connection to Alison, but you'd be crazy to think a part of it wasn't because she knew that the return of Emily's first love was a threat to their relationship, or even just simply the fact that she had never liked Alison and didn't care if she was in danger.

Yes, if you were to take a list and rank every character there would many more characters that have done worse things than Paige. Also Paige hasn't done that many awful things since season 1 and since she came out as gay she grew as a person.

I get why people dislike Paige for the first seasons but I think she doesn’t all this hate. Everyone has his own opinion, I know. But Paige only wants to protect Emily from the girl who bullied other girls and boys for years! Alison is a snake and manipulative. Paige really loves Emily, Alison doesn’t. Paige was always there for Emily and where was Ali? I’m not a big fan of Paige either but I don’t hate her. There are so much worse characters than her. Like Pedo-Fitz

In the episode Hanna says if it were her she would have burnt the whole place down and I laughed cause I genuinely believe that she would have.
