Star Wars: Andor S2 Ep2 Reaction Edited

This episode struck such a nice balance between Andor getting out of such a deranged situation, and then Mon seemingly losing the one friend she could be herself around. The wedding feels like it's in full swing, while I could not be more afraid for Bix's safety, and I'm both so excited and absolutely dreading finding out what happens next!

It’s shocking that this episode could be the weakest of the season while still being so good, the bar has been set so high for this show so I shouldn’t be surprised. Definitely agree that the May Pei Brigade have served their purpose at this point, anymore and they’d have become really annoying and I’m just glad that this seems like the end of them. Still can’t believe I messed up Yavin with Endor 😂 Something clicked when I saw the old ruins as nothing else was touched on with this planet and then seeing the red planet in the background made me think of the first movie, if only I didn’t get the two mixed up! It was really nice to see Dedra and Syril finally together and it was a nice calming contrast to everything going on, seems like their preparing for something big and I like that it involves the two of them, but Syril must be going nuts knowing that Dedra is keeping something from him! I like this explanation a lot, I doubt the Empire would let word spread of a Rebel mastermind throughout the galaxy, so it makes sense it’s internal. She’s gained so much distrusted with either conclusion which really makes it a miracle she was able to keep her career and even go on to something bigger. I need Andor to get to Mina-Rau ASAP when the next episode starts, it’s good to know that Bix’s lot won’t be in any particular trouble because of his absence, he just needs to get there so he can get them all away, plus this super creepy Imperial needs to be put in his place as I feel so certain that he isn’t going to stop with just one attempt. 😂 😂 The wedding scenes themselves were so terrific but really came down to two major points with the culture being introduced and Tay just adding more stress on to Mon, I can’t wait to see how that will get resolved in the next episode and if there is a way to put a stop to this wedding and if Luthen really is going to ‘take care’ of Tay 😬

😂 😂 Glad to know I’m not the only one to mess it up, it’s such a cool detail to see it though and that Andor would have been one of the first Rebels on the planet too! This entire episode was just phenomenal and I can’t believe this wasn’t even the conclusion to the arc, we still have to see what all this tension was leading too! Bix’s whole ting was terrifying and I’m desperate for Andor to get back there as soon as possible now that he’s finally free, and then the wedding, the stress on Mon just keeps pilling on and I just hope something good can come out of this, whether Tay backs off and can be dealt with or this wedding can just be stopped out right.

Another good episode, even if it's one of the weakest in the series in my opinion since we got very little on the imperial front and Cassian's time was spent with the Maya Pei Brigade. This is where I kinda agree with the people who dislike them. Like I said before, I think they had an important purpose. That said, I don't think they needed this much screen time to serve that purpose. Good catch on Yavin IV, I missed that on my first watch as I was too focused Cassian leaving the Maya Pei Brigade to fend off the beast and starve, which is a hole they very much dug for themselves. Dedra and Syril have gotten together and are dealing with a refreshingly mundane issue for Star Wars. Good for Syril that he got a promotion but it must be frustrating for him to be kept in the dark of Dedra's doings. I doubt Dedra made Axis a legend in the galactic scale, more so within the ranks of the Empire and especially the ISB. The way I understand it, she's managed to get more and more resources allocated for her Axis hunt by painting the picture of a rebel mastermind to her superiors. Now it's been almost two years and she has next to nothing to show for all the resources spent which can lead to a couple different conclusions: Either she's been scamming her superiors for resources or she's too incompetent to catch Axis despite the resources. Partagaz put himself on the line by vouching for her Axis theory to Yularen so no wonder he's displeased with how it has turned out. Regarding the imperial inspections on Mina-Rau, I doubt Cassian needs to be there for the inspection. The imperial lieutenant didn't seem to mind Bix saying her husband is off planet for a few days, granted he obviously had his own reasons to be pleased to hear that but the planet wasn't closed off before their surprise inspection so anyone being already off world is likely fine. They are just worried about Cassian since he was supposed to show up days ago. Probably doesn't help that without him they don't have a ship so escaping isn't an option if things go south. I feel like anything I have to say about the wedding scenes would end up just being a repetition of Hayden's words 😅

hahaha Yeah, that was Yavin IV, no worries! At least you got it! Many reactors didn't, and that is okay too! :) This episode was great! Bix had an uncomfortable situation ... she just can't get a break from the Empire!! Andor is finally free, my gosh!!! But what I like the most is the tension in the wedding, Tay Kolma is becoming an issue, and I can't wait to see how the wedding and the Tay Kolma situation end in the next reaction
