2019-05-21 07:04:23 +0000 UTCI completely agree! He's one of my favorites. I think some people are just put off by his arrogance and snarky comments, but it's obviously just a defense mechanism. When Alec was dying all he cared about was saving him, he didn't care what happened to him, same with the soul sword. He's one of the most selfless characters on the show, along with Magnus.

The thing most people forget (which I don't understand) JACE was willing to die for the downworld, he pulled that sword out thinking it was going to kill him, but he did it anyway...WTF???? How is he always at the bottom??? His character has had the worst upbringing (until the Lightwoods) but still is one of the most selfless characters on the show! Of course he has a chip on his shoulder and can be an ass. You don't let people close...you can't lose them.

2018-05-27 14:39:42 +0000 UTCI loved this episode alot. Like you said, in any other show Magnus would have kissed Dot but I’m glad Shadowhunters is smart and doesn’t use the “bisexuals cheat” trope. Also glad that they didn’t ruin the best relationship on the show. Magnus and Simon were my two fave characters from the start, then Alec and Izzy crept in, then Clary got better and made her way up high in the list. I swear, she improves so damn much and Kat’s acting is excellent now. My fave characters; 1. Magnus 2. Alec 3. Maia 4. Clary 5. Simon 6. Izzy 7. Luke 8. Jace 9. Raphael 10. Maryse (Alec and Izzy’s mom, I just love her so much, she’s grown on me alot)

2018-05-27 11:10:58 +0000 UTCYeah, great reaction!! The actor playing Simon has such a great voice, I was shocked too. I don't really like Jace in general but I did in this episode because I could see where he was coming from, I had more of a problem with Alec, but in the end it worked out so. For Clary, it's the same for me, It was a hit or miss in the first season but she improved so much in season 2. I was glad too that Dot and Magnus didn't kiss, I hope they'll stay away from the whole cheating trope till the end of the show tbh. Concerning Magnus's dance, I suppose you never watched it, but Harry Shum Jr was in Glee and he is a professional dancer.
