What I did this month

We tried Ascot in the UE5 demo

I investigated what happens when I change the main character model of the "Ancient Valley" project released as a sample of UE5 to Ascot.

I was really impressed with the various techniques used in the ancient valleys.

In particular, lighting has become able to fully express Ascot's high quality, and there seems to be room for improvement.

On the contrary, the roughness of the non-realistic part becomes conspicuous and the model must be improved urgently ...! I came to think so.

I played various action games

I haven't played action games properly since I played The Witcher 3 three years ago, so I took this opportunity to play action games from the creator's point of view.

The video did not adequately convey the feeling comfortable in particular, so I actually played the game and felt a variety of responses.


I also played a lot of open world 3D action games.

Elden Ring is very popular these days, but I thought it was a little different from the elements required for ASCOT.

Feedback from various works allowed us to reaffirm the games and actions required of ASCOT.

To be honest, this gameplay was mentally distressing.

All games are very good, but "well, not."

That condition lasted for about a week.

Currently, the direction is gradually becoming apparent, and we are starting development toward that direction.

It will be a more stylish and exhilarating game than ever before.

I would like to create an action game that brings out the charm of ASCOT itself.

## Planning an erotic scene system in the battle part

At the beginning of development, considering the sale of all age versions, we proceeded with the development with a policy of separating eroticism and gameplay.

However, one of TeamKRAMA's strengths is the presence of eroticism in gameplay, and we recognize that SoD: SH is highly regarded because we were able to achieve this, and we feel that this element is still necessary.

Therefore, I started to devise the specifications of the erotic scene that occurs during battle.

Battle-> defeat-> erotic scene is standard, but I'm thinking of another way to implement it.

It's still at the idea level, but I'm preparing to implement it.


Challenge to new features of Unreal Engine

Even though it is a new function, it is a mechanism introduced in Fort Knight etc. with the technology that appeared about two years ago.

This is a system suitable for action games and RPGs called the game ability system, and has the advantages of being highly extensible and easy to manage.

On the other hand, the mechanism was confusing and the approach was different than before, so it took a long time to understand.(I thought I would quit many times)

For the time being, I learned the whole implementation method, so I plan to start in earnest next month.


It was a month of such verification and research.

Next month, I'd like to show you the actual results of the changed action part.
