Ancestral Abundance Prosperity Working

Good afternoon moon babes. I have had a lot of requests for more ancestral content, so figured today is a good day to share ancestral offering breakdown post. Today we're doing a seven-day abundance candle that is to be burned for your ancestors. Think of this as like a money candle but it's more than just abundance in general abundance, it's also good luck, wealth, prosperity, all things abundant. You can be abundant in a lot of things -love, life, relationships, opportunities, health, ect. This is a candle that you would prepare and make, then light for your ancestors. They work hard for you so we should always pay our respects to them.

Things Needed:

-Green seven-day candle. (You could also do this with a gold taper candle if you have one)

- An ancestor altar or space dedicated for your ancestors

-Firesafe plate to put the candle on

- A note to your ancestors (also pen and paper)

-Peppermint 

-Ginger 

-Rosemary 

-Nutmeg

-Dried orange Peel 

-Patchouli leaves

-Orange Blossom Water 

-Kananga Water 

-Florida Water 

-Mullein 

-Hibiscus 

-Plantain 

-MJ aka the green stuff (my ancestors liked to partake in a little)

-Prosperity Oil 

-Pokey things like a chopstick or stick

-Mortar and pestle or molcajete

How to Cast:

-Cleanse yourself, cleanse your home and your space. Light your ancestral candle if you have one and prepare to call them down however you do that in your practice. I have an ancestral bell that my mom gave me that literally everyone in our family has touched whilst they were sick. They would use it to bring people down to the room if they needed something so I use that. I like to do this ritual with them, it's also like them sitting in the room with you while you prepare this candle. Kind of like you're making tea with your grandma and she's in the kitchen with you. That's the vibe for me.

-Go to the sink and wash your hands in Florida Water, normal water, a little bit of Kananga Water, and Orange Blossom Water to prepare your hands for this working. And then likewise, wash and cleanse the outside of your candle whether that be the glass of the candle, the seven day, or the actual taper candle or chime candle. * Wash the outside of the candle with these spiritual waters and colognes and entirely let dry. Be mindful because these things are flammable! *

-Now that you're outside of your candles prepared, if you are somebody who writes petitions, this is the time to write a petition to your ancestors. I would prepare my paper with whatever I just used, drops of water, herbs, oils, colognes, etc. I'm carrying it to the paper so it's all symbiotic. Rip the edges off your paper so there's no manmade edges, then write your petition to your ancestors and just pour your heart out to them. Then fold the paper towards you clockwise.

- We're going to put that down below your dish or underneath your fire safe dish so as your dish is on top of it start preparing your candle once more. Take the seven day candle and your chopstick and poke into the candle. The goal here is to go straight down to create holes for your herbs and oils to fill. After poking through your wax, you're going to put some of your oils into the holes and on the top of your candle wax. (because you don't want to make it super flammable) in so it can infuse with this candle thoroughly.

-Go to your molcajete or your mortar and pestle and get all of your herbs, pray over your herbs that they bring abundance in all aspects and all realms. Everybody's abundance is different and everyone's familial line is unique so draw upon your own personal family experience (maybe it's health, maybe it's in healing traumas, etc. Combine and grind herbs as you’re speaking with your ancestors, you can pray, sing, rap, dance or use your intuition here. You're going to add a little bit of that to your actual candle, push some of it down into the holes around the top. Then I like to dress the bottom of my plate with the herbal blend and carry this all around the outside of the candle on the plate.

-I have a family sigil I like to draw on my candles and then I will also draw an abundance sigil. (Watch my Patreon video on How to Create Sigils (available for $15 and up tiers). You can add symbols that bring you wealth, or symbols you associate with money, put those on there as well set your candle down.

-Once again, this is the time to pray with your ancestors before you start your candle and then light it. Once it’s lit, let it stay lit. of that you leave your ancestor candles on for normally leave that candle on. This is why if you want a shorter spell, use a chime candle, but I prefer the seven day candle.

Witch’s Notes:

- The reason that I like doing this seven day candle is just because it's a longer ritual. It's for your personal ancestors so if you want, you could do this offering in one day, or even if you want to do it in an hour.  You could just use a cimel candle for like an hour or two burn time. This is truly up to you and what you feel most comfortable. A taper candle is a good option if you want to do a shorter offering for a couple of hours and then if you want to do this ritual for longer, you can do it with the seven-day candle.

-As a root worker, I always use specific herbs that my ancestors like, herbs that are Black and/or Caribbean inspired. There are different herbs that my ancestors liked versus others. You can replace as needed based on culture or religion or whatever it might be. If your ancestors are Catholic or super religious throw Holy Water in this mix and prepare your candle with Holy Water. Just keep in mind that this is a money and abundance working so use herbs that go with that. Due to this my personal mix is quite different than what I have shared but I would also make this blend for my ancestors at any time, the above herbs are amazing gor abundance in many ways!

I hope this gives you guys some good insight on an offering that you could leave your ancestors or spirits of your highest good or maybe even your own highest good. You can make these kinds of candles for yourself. I do this all the time and have them lit all around my home so it kind of boosts your own self-esteem.
