Herbalism 101 - Mugwort

Good afternoon moon babes! Wow, what a busy last few weeks. I just opened my retail store in Oceanside, California AND celebrated my birthday. Thank you to every single soul who came out this weekend, waited in line overnight, shared kind words and stories with me, and overall pushed me forward over the past two years.

For all my online loves thank you for the kind words, energy, and messages you sent me for the opening weekend I’m still in awe. I need a few days to let this settle… I have a retail shop. But now I want to get back to making content and sharing information with you guys.

This Herbalism 101 series is all about talking about different herbs and their properties. I started off with Lavender if you want to read more about it!

Today is all about mugwort! Mugwort is often used for lucid dreaming, astral projection, protection, purification, and so much more. Mugwort is known to alleviate sore muscles. I make a Mugwort Oil for my shop and it's spelled to aid in Clairvoyance + Third Eye + Divination! I really like to use mugwort for ancestor work and third eye work.

Mugwort has been used for millennia. Prior to the introduction of hops, mugwort was used to flavor beer. Mugwort is often brewed into teas, used as incense. Mugwort was used as a magical protective herb in European Middle Ages. Roman soldiers put mugwort in their sandals to protect their feet against fatigue and cramps. In traditional Chinese medicine, mugwort is used in a pulverized and aged form to burn on specific acupuncture points on the patient's body to achieve therapeutic effects. It's used quite often in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean traditional medicine.

We sell mugwort herb and Mugwort Oil in the shop, as well as some blends that contain mugwort. It's a juicy herb.

Do you use Mugwort in your practice? How do you like to use it?

Blessed be, Anastasia 🤍🔮🌙

I took an herbalism course and while discussing mugwort a classmate and I had a shared experience meditating with it, getting flashes of a woman with long flowy silver hair that was glowing like the moon. My classmate said the being held her and called herself the queen of the night. Since then I’ve held mugwort so close to my heart ❤️
