Topic: Forgiving Past Relationships
Good evening Moon Babes!! Earlier today I did a poll on Instagram on your suggestions for a shadow work prompt. There were so many of you who answered, but there was one that stuck out to me the most, “forgiving past relationships.”
I’m sure we all have that one person or; maybe even the unfortunate, more than one relationship that may have left a scar on your heart. How do you forgive? How do you move on? What feelings are still lingering? Do you heal better alone or while with others? & Does time truly heal all wounds? This is not something that I can answer for you, for we are all different individuals.
Are you able to forgive and move past the pain? If you truly believe you can, where do you even begin? Would you be able to confront this individual, in such a vulnerable state of mind? Or is it best to write out a letter to them and burn it after?
We may have high hopes in thinking time can heal all, as it may. However, you need forgiveness in yourself to keep moving forward. Write down a list of strategies and options of how you can 1) forgive this person or people who have hurt you and 2) forgiving yourself - because ultimately in order to find peace, and in order to heal you need to dig deep within to find the courage to do so.
Each moment moving forward, requires a small step.
Once these initial steps are taken, which one will you take next?
How will you begin the next page of your journey?
Where are you right now and how are you feeling?
Have you forgiven completely?
In which ways do you feel that you need to focus more on?
Be sure to not leave out all the details. Write their name. Write the problem. Figure out the solution, but don’t rush. Great things take the most time. Do it at your own pace.
