Website Progress!
Added 2021-05-03 14:33:23 +0000 UTCLast year I decided to give my website a complete overhaul after a good three years of very basic upkeep and barely any updates.
The old page was a "one page" design which I grew tired of. I wanted a website that could serve me and everyone interested in my art by providing not just a portfolio, but also information about my projects and characters, a way to subscribe to updates and one central, self-hosted place for my commission business.
This project is important to me and I've been able to put time and money into it thanks to your support. Hosting, themes and plugins can be pricey, although I do my best to keep the cost low by using free versions of plugins whenever possible.
This month Patreon support helped me purchase Gravity Forms which is a $59 annual fee and lets me build custom forms for commissions and other purposes. I chose this plugin for its feature to schedule forms and conditional logic that lets me display a rough estimate quote during the submission process.
It's not quite ready for launch yet. Right now, I mostly work on this during the weekends. My next undertaking will be to add character pages before translating the entire thing. Then after launch I will look into getting my store up and running.
So yeah! I figured I could give y'all a behind the scenes update on a part of this artist's professional life that does *not* involve drawing. :D
