Regarding that patreon update
Added 2017-12-07 14:36:21 +0000 UTCHey peeps, I'm not sure if the email went out to everyone yet. Patreon is planning on passing on processing fees to patrons. Previously, the creator was responsible for paying these.
So instead of me paying ~5% (or whatever) once, patrons will pay 2.9% + 35 cents PER PLEDGE. This adds up for people who give $1 to 10 creators, for example... (These people will have to pay the fee 10 times.)
It's a shitty change and I can't do anything about it.
I completely understand if people need to adjust their amount of pledges and maybe drop out of here because of this change. Especially since EU patrons already give VAT on top of their pledge. No worries.
I'm also thinking of adjusting rewards, so stay tuned for a possible poll or update! Still thinking of options - do let me know if you have ideas. :>
