Hello everyone! Here's another free post with an update.
As most of you know I attended Dokomi a week ago. I was at my biggest artist alley yet, together with nearly 500 other artists from Germany and Europe.
Honestly, I expected it to somewhat of a disaster. But the weekend proved to be a success and I've earned a respectable amount of money - hooray!!
I've met a bunch of wonderful people. My comic sold 17 copies - all I had on me, including the one I have on display for people to flip through!
All in all, the weekend pushed me to continue working on my story. Like, immediately. I came home with the urge to write, draft and draw.
In the past few days I've been working on the first book of Frantic Live. I drafted the first 23 pages, and today I wrote the rest.
But I can't start sketching without a cover, so I've been working on that as well. The result is what you see above! Book 1 is very Mitch-centric, which I worry about because yeah, people want the romance!! But you gotta read through the backstory and development of their relationship first, sorry :') It's a slow burn...
Who knows, maybe I'll have some roughs of the first pages on display at Comic Con Stuttgart? You'll get to see them here, too. <3
Due to Comic Con, I will be skipping July as well. I will resume charging patrons in August.
