A friendly senyoko battle

The two stood next to the van staring each other down.

A “small” debate had arisen between them as to which type of senyoko was cooler, fire or electric.

Ethan was adamant that electric type senyoko were obviously cooler because of all the stuff you could do with electricity. As evidence, he brought up one of the traveling senyoko performers he saw as a child who used their senyoko to put on a symphonic tesla coil light show and musical.

Cody’s argument was a little more streamlined in that fire just looked awesome. It was mysterious, dangerous, and its harnessing was basically the starting point for humans advancing as a species. Fire was as primordial in its simplicity as it was beautiful to watch.

Eventually Cody, still buzzed from his post-concert drinks, broke the tension by laughing and asking if Ethan was even a senyoko trainer.

And to the rocker’s surprise, Ethan was. Though, not wanting to come off as disingenuous, the blonde haired teen blushed and admitted that while he had a senyoko he wasn’t particularly experienced in battling.

Cody smirked as he leaned against the van pointing to Ethan and giving him a little bit of advice.

The only way to get better is with practice.

Breaking eye contact, Ethan’s blush deepened as he fidgeted. He didn’t really have anyone to practice with, he eventually got around to saying.

Cody thought for a moment before smiling and rolling his eyes. Feigning a sigh of exasperation, he preemptively agreed to the question he knew Ethan was too embarrassed to ask.

If Ethan wanted some real practice as a trainer he could meet him at Daniel's Recreation Gym first thing in the morning. Or at least first thing after 8 a.m. There was no way Cody was getting out of bed before the sun came up.

Ethan’s eyes lit up as he tripped over his own words asking Cody if he was serious. Practically jumping with joy he couldn’t help but leap over and hug Cody before realizing that his reaction might have been a little too much for someone he literally only met a few hours ago.

Releasing Cody from his bearhug Ethan cleared his throat and took a step back looking fairly embarrassed.

Cody took it in stride making an offhand joke about Ethan having some pretty strong arms.

The two stood there awkwardly for a moment not sure what to say next before Ethan finally motioned to his van and asked which diner he was taking the rocker to.

The next day Ethan was outside the gym thirty minutes early practically bouncing on his heels as he waited for Cody.

But thirty minutes passed and then five more.

Sitting on a stone bench near the front of the building Ethan sighed. Maybe he’d been a little too forward with Cody last night. He was just some guy who’d bought a backstage pass after all. And Cody was kind of drunk when he promised to meet him. He might not even remember.

But just as Ethan was deciding how much longer he was going to wait, a yawning Cody turned the corner with a to-go cup of coffee and sleepily waved him down.

Ethan jumped up to meet him.

Cody apologized for being a little late, the line at the coffee shop was a tad longer than he thought it would be. He asked if Ethan had been waiting long.

Of course, Ethan decided to lie and said he’d only just got there. No need to make Cody feel bad for being only 5 minutes late to what was basically a favor for someone he just met.

The two walked into Daniel’s Recreation Gym as Ethan looked around the wide arch at the entranceway and into the gym itself.

While the gym was less showy than the more professional and competitive gyms out there, this one was still quite impressive. The entrance arc was fairly standard as far as most gyms went. He wasn’t sure about the history of the architectural choice but he knew that almost every public gym had one.

Inside the gym was split into basement level zones with ground floor walkways over them. Each zone had a different kind of environment with a locker room to the side for storing valuables.

The zones themselves were fairly standard though Ethan had heard that some gyms went above and beyond to offer some crazy obstacles and settings for battles. Almost every zone had four stages, separated by walls like individual rooms so that multiple battles could happen at the same time.

Closest to the entrance, they had a normal stage zone which had no obstacles and looked almost like an oversized tennis court.

To their left was a pool zone with clear water that had several concrete islands dotted throughout.

Further down there was a mountainous area with a dirt ground and tall jutting rocks that nearly reached the plexi-glass ceiling protecting the walkway above.

And towards the back was the only zone with a single stage. It was an outside overhanging patio area with random obstacles that seemed to rotate out via some kind of device controlled by gym operators. In front of it was the only stadium seating in the gym since it was clearly the closest to a professional stage and could be used for actual competitive matches.

Cody tapped Ethan on his shoulder to snap him out of his gawking. They’d be using the basic stage zone since accounting for environmental obstacles might be a little more than the novice trainer was prepared for.

Walking across the overhanging walkway and down the stairs to the zone floor they picked one of the two stages that weren’t in use and set up in their starting positions across from each other.

A small panel rose up next to them telling Ethan to summon his Senyoko to continue.

Taking out the magical crystal that contained his senyoko he pointed it at the stage floor and called out Kowattage’s name. A blinding bolt of electricity shot from the stone towards the ground. From it, Ethan’s small fluffy koala-like Senyoko appeared.

Cody similarly took his crystal out and called out the name Bydra. A red flaming burst of energy coursed out of his crystal producing a much larger two-headed snake-like Senyoko that hissed to life.

Both stared at each other’s senyokos. Cody at the strange little fuzzball that Ethan had just sent out and Ethan at the monstrous reptile across from him.

While Cody’s Bydra certainly looked intimidating with bright embers falling from its mouth, Ethan’s small fuzzy Kowattage seemed quite quaint in comparison. Sitting there yawning as it scratched its belly, the lazy looking bear of a Senyoko’s only tell that it was an electrical type was the bright yellow fur that bunched up at its feet and ears.

Both stood in their places waiting for the automatic buzzer to sound and start the match.

As the buzzer went off Ethan was quick to order Kowattage into battle knowing the creature’s surprising speed was his biggest advantage.

Taken off guard by aggressiveness of his opponent Cody was slow to react when the fuzzy little Kowattage bolted towards his Bydra, rolling into a ball with electricity cascading around him.

Ethan’s senyoko struck Bydra like a cannonball sending ripples across the fire type’s scaly skin.

However, Cody recovered quickly as he ordered Bydra to scorch the ground around him to make it more difficult for Kowattage to get close to him.

With a small wall of fire around Bydra the fight took an immediate turn in Cody’s favor.

While Bydra had some trouble hitting the deceptively quick Kowattage, the nimble little Senyoko just wasn’t strong enough to make it through the wall of fire that its opponent had created. This would allow Bydra to slowly wear his Kowattage down until it could be hit by one of it’s blasts of fire.

Ethan kicked the ground in frustration, not sure how to break the stalemate. Kowattage could keep this up for a while but it was clear Bydra would eventually pin him down unless Ethan had an ace up his sleeve...which he didn’t.

Cody laughed as he made his way over to the trainer to playfully tease him. Putting his arm over the novice trainer’s shoulder he pointed out that while Ethan clearly knew Kowattage’s strengths, he needed to learn how to adapt to different strategies...and maybe do a little stamina training so he didn’t tire as quickly.

Feeling frustrated as he watched Kowattage try and fail time and time again to get around Bydra’s wall of fire he muttered under his breath that he’d show Cody some stamina.

Cody smirked, poking Ethan in the chest playfully. He beckoned Ethan to repeat what he’d said and asked if he was finally admitting that fire types were better.

Ethan blushed in annoyance pushing Cody back lightly with one hand, trying to get a little personal space. But Cody pushed him back, smirking as he kidded that Ethan was putting up more of a fight with those big strong arms than Kowattage was.

Neither was sure how it happened but the small verbal jabs at each other quickly seemed to escalate into them wrestling out their differences as their senyoko fought behind them. The light trash talk continued as the caffeine from Cody’s coffee started to kick in allowing him to energetically force Ethan to the floor in a ground and pound position.

But Ethan, for the second time that day, surprised Cody by countering. Grabbing hold of the back of Cody’s neck, Ethan struggled to force Cody into a guillotine choke.

Catching it just in time Cody struggled to get free but couldn’t quite escape Ethan’s vice like grip forcing their bodies to press up against one another on the ground. Their clothes became disheveled as Ethan was forced to rub up against the rocker, which was having a very unintended effect on the teen as he could feel blood rushing to another part of his body.

Finally, Cody managed to escape and pull himself up to his feet.

Thinking quickly, Ethan rolled to the side and followed him up grabbing Cody from behind and trying to put the rocker in another headlock.

Unfortunately, he didn’t want to risk pressing against Cody’s rear with his now, rather quickly engorging member considering the fact that he’d made the shortsighted decision to go commando today.

Because of this, Ethan wasn’t quite able to get the leverage he needed to take his opponent down and gave Cody plenty of time to counter and stall as he struggled to find a way out of Ethan’s new hold.

The blonde teen looked down to see how he could find the leverage he needed to pull Cody back to the ground without rubbing his hardening cock against the rocker’s ass. He reached down to grab Cody’s leg but only managed to snag the ends of the rocker’s gym shorts.

Figuring that was enough, Ethan pulled but still couldn’t manage to budge Cody. He jerked again and again at the rocker’s shorts but froze in place as he looked down.

He’d accidentally pulled Cody’s shorts over too far, exposing Cody’s thick meaty cock and balls to the world...or more specifically to him. Each jerking motion he made caused the hefty rod between the rocker’s legs to jiggle alluringly.

Apparently Cody had made the same shortsighted decision to go commando.

Still feeling confident despite his position, Cody grunted out some more shit talk into Ethan’s ear who suddenly didn’t seem to be paying much attention to him.

The blonde teen couldn’t stop jerking at Cody’s pants, mesmerized by the sight of the rocker’s meat flopping around.

Ethan began to blush as his cock throbbed its way to a full tent in his pants, threatening to escape at any moment.

Clearly feeling a familiar draft, Cody looked down and realized why the blonde teen had suddenly stopped fighting back. Smiling smugly as he turned his head to whisper into Ethan’s ear he lightly chastised his opponent for being so easily taken off guard.

Deciding to go for a little payback, Cody reached behind him to try and pull down Ethan’s shorts. After all, it was hardly fair for Ethan to be the only one who got a peek at their opponent’s “weak spot.”

But as Cody flung his hand back it met with something a little harder than Ethan’s leg. Much harder in fact!

Grabbing hold of it, Cody was confused for a moment before hearing Ethan yelp at the sensation of the rocker’s hand on his now embarrassingly excited cock...
