Yippee! Second FPI from Wandelust trip!

Delighted to share the news that I have just been awarded another Front Page Image (FPI) on Purpleport.

It’s an image with Irida and Ashleigh Rae in front of an outbuilding outside our chalet in the French Alps, shot in March 2025 during the Wanderlust Getaways photography holiday.

It is now my second FPI from that trip. Both FPIs feature the amazing Ashleigh Rae, with whom I had never shot before that trip.

This is, however, my very first FPI with Greek model Irida, with whom I shot twice before the Wanderlust trip.

The towel was Ashleigh’s idea. The poses were the models’ as well as the idea to smoke a cigarette to add to the story telling. Ashleigh, in fact, is not a smoker!

I take credit for choosing a good spot, asking Irida to join us. The composition is, of course, mine but I think I chose the obvious one. I used the Canon RF24-105mm zoom lens, which allowed me to compose more freely than a fixed focal length lens.

Overall it’s my 98th FPI. Just two short from the milestone of 100.
