Awesome shoot with Sophia yesterday

I’m delighted to provide an update on yesterday’s shoot with Sophia (aka Sophia’s selfies) in my home studio.

For the first time, I used my new Hobolite without a softbox to create cabaret-style images with strong shadows. It was an ideal opportunity as I was keen to try something different and Sophia was up for it.

This was the highlight of yesterday’s shoot for me and I think it worked well - see the leading image in this post from the back of the camera.

We were also blessed with good natural light during the day so we left the cabaret set last - late in the afternoon when the sun was going down.

In total we shot six sets - all sets started with instagram safe content and proceeded to topless, full nude and OL. Sophia is blessed with a beautiful natural body (yes, her big bobs are real) that oozes sex appeal - with no tattoos, which is rare these days. The only artificial thing about her was the colour of the highlights in her hair, a pinky red that was rather pleasing to the eyes, which I endeavoured to showcase in some of the photos.

We started with a cheeky girl next door set, with Sophia having raspberries and flashing her assets at the back door, with me shooting from outside. It was freezing cold so we kept this scene at a minimum. We then shot indoors with Sophia in a sexy office girl outfit - tight black skirt and white blouse, stockings and heels. Under her blouse she was wearing a cupless bra - my favourite kind of bra, which she showed off to full effect. We used a white wall as the background and natural light from the window to light Sophia.

We continued with a lingerie scene showing off the red cupless bra, red thong and stockings, after which we recorded a 5-minute video with Sophia doing a full strip tease, finishing with open legs in bed. We then shot a sexy purple body scene with Sophia teasing with fruit and open legs, making the most of the golden hour light in my open plan kitchen/dining area.

Finally, we shot two sets in the lounge area using artificial light, the first one being the cabaret set I have already mentioned which was followed by a glam set with Sophia in a black dress on the chesterfield. For that I used one of my Elinchrom flash units with soft box in addition to the Hobolite with soft box so I could shoot at f11.0, resulting in pin-up style photos. So two very different sets in the same room, just by varying the lighting source and furniture, both captured in behind the scenes videos.

In total we created around 400 images and around 20 video clips (I include screenshots with thumbnails of everything we created so you can get a good idea of what we got up to). Although our emphasis was on quality rather than quantity, it was still quite a lot of content., not least because we shot for nearly six hours, with a few breaks.

Sophia favourited around 120 (non-adult) images at the end and we shortlisted about 60 for retouching. Most of the adult (OL) images require no retouching.
