Isolation Creation - Skylark Cover

This is being released to my Patrons first to thank you for your continued support through these challenging times. It is so much appreciated.
Isolation and COVID has been a really strange time for me. I am meant to be in Nashville with one of my best friends watching the Rolling Stones and getting married in Vegas. But Vegas is closed right now and even the stones don't have a gig.
When this first started I reached out to this beautiful pianist and friend of mine Jack Earle (Check out his big band stuff if you like the jazz) and he sent me his track and video to put my vocal take of this Jazz standard Skylark over.
After many attempts of getting dolled up to get a nice video and recording this song probably 100 times, it was the first take today after I finished some voice over work which has been sustaining me through this pandemic, that I got a heartfelt take that I was happy with. I just wanted a live version of the song, no drop ins or funny business, no pitch correction and I did all the production myself which basically means this is not a produced track.
Any who I then thought I could lip sync to it and get dolled up, and then I thought. This version actually most accurately represents what my experience has been the last couple of months, all the feels, not much of a clue and making it up as I go along. But I have been landing on my feet and I have been in great (virtual) company.
