Just so you know stef, this version of Rogue isn't accurate to who she is in the comics. You may need to watch the x-men animated series or x-men '97 for an accurate version of the character. Which I do recommend both of those series lol

Mystique and Mysterio out here juggling Stef's brain with their tricks.

So great you are watching the X-Men movies! Excited for your reaction to X2 (my favorite)!!! 1. X-men came out eight years before the MCU was born (Iron Man was released in 2008). They were the best Marvel comic book movies back then and watching them now always brings back great memories. 2. Disney only recently (2019) acquired the rights of the X-Men. Before that, all X-Men and mutant related characters were owned by 20th Century Fox and therefore not part of the MCU. 3. Mutants are born with their powers, as opposed to people like Captain America, Spider-man, Hulk etc who received their powers by external means. 4. The "would you want to know if your neighbors are mutants" is the ultimate question and is one of the main themes in the X-Men comics since the first issue came out in 1960s. 5. Magneto can't levitate but can "move" the metal in his outfit and therefore fly. 6. In the movies, Mystique can only shapeshift into people, and cannot mimic their powers. Her Wolverine claws were flesh. And she was also to shapeshift into the statue of liberty since it roughly the same size as a person. 7. Sabretooth was a much better and more interesting character in the comics, and yeah the movie did a bad job of portraying him. 8. You have to remember that Logan has been a loner for the last 15 years. He wasn't used to working with others, especially being part of a team. And yes, the yellow spandex was an inside joke for comic book fans!

It was my first time watching this again since it first came out and I just now noticed Stan Lee's cameo! Anyways, great reaction, Stef! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like seeing how new you are to the X-Men universe. I'm looking forward to the next one.

👀😯🤯 another great reaction especially the "Bobby / Mystique realization👀😆🤣👏🏾 as a 53 y/o👴🏾 comic book geek🤓 it's been a great time seeing comic book heroes go live action in this age of comic book movies. It's probably already been mentioned that Charles Xavier and Eric's "Magneto" characters were modeled by the comic book creators after real world historical figures Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X for their stance during the Civil Rights Era, with their two different approaches to fighting for Civil Rights with having the same goal of equality in mind. I'm so looking forward to the rest of your reactions!!!🥳👍🏾👏🏾

I think Stef is one of the first reactors I've seen who didn't recognize Ian McKellen as the actor who played Gandalf in "Lord of the Rings". Others usually spot it in his first scene, when Erik and Charles talk after Jean testifies in Congress.

God it's been ages since ive watched this, nice stroll down memory lane! love the reaction

This was a really great reaction. I am not overly fond of this first one (it’s okay but far from my favorite), but I had fun revisiting this with your commentary. The X-men journey is going to be a good time.

Awesome reaction! I grew up on the X-Men, Wolverine has always been my favorite superhero and Magneto is one of Marvel's best villains in the comics. His backstory of being a holocaust survivor leading him to not trusting mankind is so perfect. Also Magneto is the same actor as Gandalf and Toad is the same actor that played Darth Maul. Another interesting bit of info, the metal on Wolverine's skeleton (adamantium) is as strong as the vibranium in Captain America's shield! I love X-Men although some of the movies can be hit or miss this should be a fun new Marvel journey! Thanks as always Stef!

Stef's realization of Mystique was so funny lmao. Also I'm sure Havits will let you know but a lot of these movies have a weird timeline so you kind of just have to go with it since I know that stuff might confuse you. These get better and better as they go along!

I assume we are starting xmen along with continuing the MCU to get through the Deadpool films? if so, this is gonna be fun!
