1. Make no mistake, no matter how fatherly Tywin seems... if he knew Arya Stark was before her, he'd use her to get Jamie back in a heartbeat. 2. Lena Headey, the actress who plays Cersei Lannister, played her perfectly and that's why we hate her so much.

That definitely is what our faces looked like before when we saw this. Anyway, it is an agreed fact among fans that the episode 9 of each season have the most iconic moments! (well, until seasons 7 and 8 when the showrunners stopped the 10 episode/season formula) So glad that you seemed to be very VERY invested now in the show... hoping to see more of your reactions to this!

2024-05-25 01:11:14 +0000 UTCSo there were a lot of quick things happening at the end which could be confusing... - It was a Kingsguard, not one of Stannis's group, that sliced up Tyrion. Podrick, Tyrion's squire, then killed the Kingsguard with a spear. - Tywin rode from Harrenhal in the night last episode so Robb's troops wouldn't see their movement. A couple episodes ago, when Petyr Baelish visited Tywin, he advised that Loras and Margaery Tyrell, who both loved Renly, did not side with Stannis. - Very hard to see and not really called out in the show...but Loras was wearing Renly's armor when they flanked Stannis's troops at the end. He had recently joined with Tywin's force. A lot of Renly's men who joined Stannis fled at this point. - While Tyrion and Bronn's efforts with Wildfire and secret gates were effective, Stannis still had A LOT of men and pushed the attack forward. So in summary, Stannis lost at the Blackwater because Tywin rode south and joined up Loras, and their combined men flanked the attack. Throw in a little superstition of folks seeing Loras in Renly's armor and thinking Renly was alive, and we land at a successfully repelled attack.

Clegane (aka the hound) is terrified of fire. Ever since his brother (the mountain) pushed him into the fire when they were young (Petyr Baelish told Sansa and Arya that story in season 1 during the Hand's tournament)
