I like seeing his pacing and character developments in the new DUNE series.

Uncle Phoenix

Wind River and Yellowstone were both amazing. I guess I need to watch “Hell or High Water”.

I was pretty neutral the first time I watched this one. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It felt initially like a somewhat above average movie overall, but It has some amazing scenes along the way. I think I struggled with the pacing as much as anything. Since then I've seen it three of four times now and each time, it gets better and now it genuinely is one of my top movies. It's so well made. Brolin and Del Toro are fantastic in it and I really think it requires multiple watches to truly get some of the nuances. It doesn't hold your hand or tell you what to think, it just presents "perspectives" as you put it, tells you what happened but leaves you to decide how it is all to be received. Excellent cinematography.

David Collins

Definitely a different and harder watch, but still glad it made it to the list. It's a tougher, gritty movie, but the writer (Taylor Sheridan) often finds the stories within the cracks of the world and life. Stuff we don't immediately see, stuff we overlook, stuff we don't think about, stuff that likely happens every day that doesn't make the news. What I love about this movie, is that it's a slow burn film, but not a slow burn that bores you to tears. It's an intense slow burn that keeps you engaged and stressed from beginning to end. There is a Sicario 2. It's a bit of a different story with some of the same characters, but I still recommend it. If you liked this one, I'll suggest some more by the same creator: - Wind River - Hell or High Water - Yellowstone (show) Looking forward to the mood shift with Avengers!

This is such a great movie. It's a hard watch, but like you said, it's also important to see and to know that this kind of thing happens and what it takes to fight it. Laws get you nowhere, unfortunately. The cartels don't follow laws so the fight has to be ruthless... all because of money, power and drugs. It's a harsh reality.

Phillip Bates

There are stories in our past that are not taught in our schools or universities. “Sicario” is a story about our Present, but the Cartel’s didn’t just spontaneously appear out of nowhere. The Cartel’s emerged from highly trained South American military units; these units were trained by the United States and other NATO nations. WHY? They were recruited and trained to fight the Fascists in South America. In 2018, a History Channel show, called "HUNTING HITLER”, starring Tim Kennedy begin presenting all of the data Declassified by the Obama Administration and the Russian FSB. (The former KGB) Tim Kennedy takes the viewer on a tour of German towns in Chili and Argentina, including COLONIA DIGNIDAB. Mr. Kennedy establishes the facts surrounding Colonia Dignidab and its rumored history. BTW. Stef should NOT watch “THE COLONY”(2015) starring Emma Watson and Daniel Bruhl, which is about Colonia Dignidab. Nobody wants to teach about all the NAZI’s that came to America under Operation Paperclip; and nobody wants to teach about the tens of thousands of NAZI’s who fled to South America after WW2. FYI: That’s why Paul Verhouven set his Anti-Fascist space drama “Starship Troopers” in Argentina. Even in Sandra Bullock’s Rom-com “While You Were Sleeping” her character's comment about how Argentina is full of NAZI’s and beef.” I WANTED Stef to watch SICARIO, because I wanted Stef to know more than all her peers about the Deep Undercurrents that have created the Present world that we live in. And that Augusto Pinochet and Juan Perone were not humanitarians with clean hands. They were the Fascist Boogiemen that fueled a generation of Communist freedom fighters. Then later, a new generation of fighters came to fight the Communists. These Capitalist fighters later became the Cartels that we know today. Our history is out there, IF you are willing to look; and not simply accept the DUMB-DUMB news on Mainstream Media.

Thanks, Havits, for the upload and the trouble it took to render multiple times to pass muster.
