New Patreon Picks !
Added 2024-05-21 14:05:01 +0000 UTCHey Everyone,
Havits here, I know it's been a while since our last Patreon Pick discussion. As we all know Stef was under the weather and it took her a bit to see the last 4 picked movies while also keeping up with the other films and tv shows she watches for us. That being said she will be watching Sicario today which means it's time to pick the next 4 films for her watchlist.
Here are the "missed the cut" films from the last poll, we can discuss these films along with others that are deserving of a vote.
-Master and Commander
-Parasite
-Million Dollar Baby
-Blood Diamond
All great movies that deserve to be watched, I'd like to find the next 4 films that deserve to go in a poll along with these so we can all decide what goes next. I'd like to throw "Independence Day" in the hat as another fun popcorn flick from the 90s.
Also, film not getting picked doesn't mean they won't eventually get watched. These are all great suggestions and classic films. We will eventually get to everything. there's plenty of content to keep Stef busy. So Lets Discuss!

Speed would be a good choice and make for a good reaction. Watched the movie over and over again as a kid on VHS. Lol. In the same general class of film as Speed, S.W.AT. would be a good choice, as well.

2024-10-19 22:10:12 +0000 UTCAs mentioned above Hacksaw Ridge and Hachi are great movies to watch. I'd also would add Phenomenon with John Travolta and Speed and The Lake House with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock if Stef hasn't watched these already 🙂

2024-05-22 13:16:36 +0000 UTCWouldn’t really recommend Troy too much. The Sixth Sense, The Last of the Mohicans, The Silence of the Lambs and Schindlers List are all great suggestions that way.

2024-05-22 01:14:06 +0000 UTCThe Island (2005) would make for a great reaction. I would second it, for sure!

2024-05-21 23:05:38 +0000 UTCDude, suggesting My Girl to Stef is just mean. She'll be in tears.

2024-05-21 23:01:10 +0000 UTCTroy is a classic , great movie. Would like to see Steph react to that. Maybe the dune movies? or are they too recent?

2024-05-21 22:46:00 +0000 UTCWell, I know people keep tossing out movies that make Stef cry so maybe something to give her a chuckle with "A Million Ways to Die in the West" or "Anna And The Apocalypse" (can't go wrong with a zombie apocalypse musical). Could go with sci-fi and watch "Bright" or "Cowboys & Aliens". Maybe horror with "From Black". Maybe one of my all time favorite movies with Christian Slater "Pump Up the Volume". Then again "Hidden" is a fun movie...

2024-05-21 19:24:21 +0000 UTCAs with Scott's comment above - if Steff hasn't seen The Sixth Sense yet, that's a very strong suggestion indeed! So, for that matter, would be Kingdom of Heaven (provided that it's the Director's Cut, NOT the theatrical version.)

2024-05-21 18:54:27 +0000 UTCPlanet of the apes movies. 2011, 2014, 2017, 2024. 4 movies altogether. Or dodgeball with Ben stiller and Vince Vaughn 2004 for a fun comedy.

2024-05-21 16:33:29 +0000 UTCI second Independence Day! I, robot is a fun movie too especially with AI being a hot topic lately. And “Her” goes along with that theme as well.

2024-05-21 16:08:37 +0000 UTCTwo Great movies that I’m pretty sure no one else has reacted to are “The Fisher King”(1991) with Robin Williams and “The 13th Warrior”(1999) which stars Antonio Banderas and is based on a Michael Crichton story. Other great movies include; “The Kingdom of Heaven”(2005) and “The Man From Snowy River”(1982). Also, no one else has reacted to “Absolute Power”(1997) which is definitely one of Clint Eastwoods better works.
Uncle Phoenix
2024-05-21 15:30:53 +0000 UTCAgree with all of the ones in the list! Some more suggestions: - Edge of Tomorrow (Live Die Repeat) - The Fifth Element - The Island - I am Legend

2024-05-21 14:34:41 +0000 UTCMake it Troy plus Mummy 1, 2 and 3, and you have a deal ;) Honestly, I am a fan of Jet Li so I would be pretty bummed if he didn't make the cut.

2024-05-21 14:31:29 +0000 UTCBraveheart, Gran Torino I know it was said before that Gran Torino isn't the best suggestion because of scenes (or a scene) involving assault on females, but imho some scenes Stef has seen in Game of Thrones are much worse. Please correct me if I'm wrong

2024-05-21 14:30:50 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge for sure! Or My Girl w/ Macaulay Culkin for the 90’s film.

2024-05-21 14:25:24 +0000 UTCHavits: yoooooo, Troy is a good one. Someone also mentioned the Mummy last time as well. Although I'd keep it to the first two Mummy films.
