I always did loved the dynamic between Arya and Tywin. You always wonder if he suspects. But even if not, ruthless as he is it is interesting to see this side of him. He is quite complex in his own way. Many characters (in general) are just good or evil. On the one hand he is the one that ordered the deaths of Targaryen children when Robert took over. We know how he feels about Tyrion, his son. And yet here we see him acting almost fatherly or at the very least kind to Arya.
