I forgot how good this movie was! And I love how deep Stef is always connected with the characters. Fun fact: Liv Tyler is the daughter of Steven Tyler, the frontman of Aerosmith. And the big guy (Michael Clarke Duncan) who played Bear, played John Coffey in The Green Mile

Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly emotionally numb, I watch this just to make sure I'm still a human being capable of feeling normal emotions.

You get some good selections on here, with, as you noted, a lot of variety. Glad that you are feeling better, as well! A few other really good popcorn movies include: -Independence Day -Swat -Speed -National Treasure -Oceans Eleven Another movie which I would recommend, which was also one of my favorites as a kid is a movie called The Island (2005), from the same director as Armageddon. I have a good feeling about it as another which you will like! (I just saw that it was referenced below, as well. That is an excellent suggestion.)

This really makes me think of a couple other Michael Bay directed movies that I think you would like if you haven't watched them: Pearl Harbor & The Island. - Also the main song by Aerosmith that you loved was actually written to be the theme for this movie. - I agree that this community finds some great emotional movies to rip your heart out. But in the long run, I feel us enjoying these stories gives us the opportunity to feel a bit more human.
