So basically all the different Spider-Man movies with the different actors all take characters from the comics and put their own spin on them. They always include the same characters usually. Harry was Green Goblin in this iteration. They are separate universes. The spider venom affected him negatively and the suit he had, helped heal him. In the comics Gwen was actually Peter's first love interest who had died in a very similar way by her neck getting snapped. She was thrown off a bridge and when Peter tried to catch her, his web became taut which caused whiplash and killed her. Sometime after, Peter meets Mary Jane and then he falls in love with her.

2024-03-24 01:15:07 +0000 UTCI feel they were really trying to throw you off with all the "saving" toward the end to make a certain moment more powerful and in your face, and unbelievable. I think Stef went through all the stages of grief in a matter of seconds when that moment occurred. Overall these two movies got a lot of grief because they were so soon released after Toby's trilogy and the 4th one of that series was canceled. So folks were a bit bitter. I personally feel Andrew did a really good job so I'm not judgmental either way. If more MCU is planned, I recommend at least hitting some of the other movies in the first couple of phases because Tom Holland's Spiderman showing up may not make sense if you haven't seen them.

2024-03-23 20:28:45 +0000 UTCOddly enough I never really got into the whole marvel + dc thing all that much. With the exception of Superman. Reason is fairly simple, when I was young (nearly a 1000 years ago now) their comics just were not available over here. Superman is the exception then not because of the comics but because it was one of the few that had a series of movies back then with the amazing Christopher Reeve (RIP).
