Frank is very smart. Passing the bar after only studying for 2 weeks? A lot of people don't pass the bar on their first attempt, even after studying for months abd going to law school. I love the dynamic between Frank and Carl. It's a cool story and the movie was a lot of fun. I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I think his dad was proud of Frank in how he took after his father, a bit. And Frank wanted his dad to be more of a parent and tell him to stop. I thihk he wanted his dad to take care of him, as he seemed to crave that family environment.

Two minutes of black screen intro gives me time to get tasty snacks.

Really looking forward to "Pan's Labyrinth".

The dinner scene and your confusion of Frank Sr. being "proud" of his son. I think he was kind of happy that his son was sticking it to the US Govt. because of all his IRS /Tax troubles. Frank Sr. lost everything because of the US Govt. His wife, his store, and probably was of his own doing but I think he was okay allowing his son to continue making the government chase him. Payback kind of. LOL

This is a great film. If you get a chance to look up Frank Abignale Jr. on YouTube, you will see him interviewed about his life and seminars he gives about his life, it's really a fascinating adventure of a life he lived.

Nice! I like Catch Me If You Can, but I was admittedly a little worried about how great it would be as a film for a reaction from you, even though I thought that you would probably like it. The Last Samurai struck me as being an outstanding choice in that regard. It is an excellent movie though and it was a good reaction. I hope that you liked it! You have some very good films coming. Ex Machina and Pan’s Labyrinth are very good picks. If you ever get around to Master and Commander, that would be fascinating, as well. Regarding Di Caprio, Blood Diamond has been referenced before and that is a film which will be come back to at some point. That is the type of movie which would be perfect for this.
