Brilliant acting by Will Smith! Man, I will never forget his facial expression at the end. By the way, he was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for this role.

I went through many things which were not dissimilar a number of years ago before being able to break through in life, as well and this movie does a really good job of portraying what life is like when you are trying to break through but don’t have financial resources that way. It was very difficult, exhausting and painful. For him to have done it with a son, as a single father, via an unpaid internship, at a firm as hyper-competitive as that, is even more incredible. I wish that we could have understood things from the mother’s perspective a little bit more, as well, but other than that, it is a really good movie.
