The Half Blood Prince Watch Along

The Half Blood Prince Watch Along

You mean to get both the reaction and the movie on-screen? don't think that'll work on iphone. You need a computer or a second device.

How do I sync it along if I’m using iPhone?

Olly Hoad

Creators cannot post full length movies online for copyright reasons. The blurred window is so that you can pull up your own version of the movie and sync it along.

Why is it blurred and no sound?

Great reaction as usual!! Here's a few tidbits if you are interested (no spoilers): Understandable that you feel weird about Ginny. The book version of her is far superior: she's funny, smart, popular, etc. Harry crushes on her for some time and their romance is slowly built up in a much more believable way. In the movies she is not great at best; I dont see this as a fault of Bonnie Wright, who plays her, but rather the fault of the script she was given, and the fact that she's really underutilized. Snape is far too young to have been Voldemort's teacher; in the books Snape is in his late thirties; he attended Hogwarts at the same time as Harry's parents, in the 1970's (fun fact, Harry Potter actually takes place between 1991-1998) whereas Voldemort is significantly older, and attended Hogwarts in the 1940's. Slughorn is meant to be a good deal older than he looks lol. The whole Weasley house battle sequence is not in the novel, and feels really out of place in the movie. I guess the director wanted to inject some action into what is probably the slowest book in the series, as most of the Half Blood Prince novel concerns the history of Voldemort. You get a LOT more memories about him there. Dumbledore finds the cave (and the Horcrux hidden inside) by painstakingly reviewing Tom Riddle's history and determining places he'd have been likely to hide a Horcrux. Its easy to miss, but when Dumbledore visits him at the orphanage, there is a photograph of the cave, which is a place Tom visited on "field trips" during his time at the orphanage before he discovered that he was a wizard. Finally, Harry/Dumbledore have destroyed two (Diary and Ring) of SIX Horcruxes, not seven. The seventh and final piece of Voldemort's soul remains within his physical body. The last two movies (adapted from the seventh and final book, split into two parts) are awesome, so excited for you to see them! Also, your british accent is on point.

Suggestion for these watchalongs, split the screen up vertically i.e. put yourself on top half and the video on the bottom half, that way the patreons can fullscreen your reaction and fairly easily put their video player underneath it (and on top of) where you have your blurred out video playing.
