So RDR won the poll, but I’d just like to point out that ME dominated the comment section. Considering the first game came out in 2006 and the last of the trilogy in 2012, the fact that ME still commands so much grip on its fans all these years later says everything you need to know about Mass Effect. I wonder if RDR will have the same hold in a decade from now? I think I know the answer. You should play Mass Effect.

2023-04-27 15:31:42 +0000 UTCMass Effect is definitely what you should play. It is driven by its story and player choice, but more than anything, by the relationships you form with other characters in the game. Characters feel real, and their individual motivations are layered and nuanced. Much like real people, you shouldn’t necessarily trust your first impressions, as people have complex backgrounds that inform their beliefs. Player choices are often dramatic and difficult, and the knock-on effects of your choices will be visible throughout the trilogy and affect many outcomes. These factors make Mass Effect one of the most replayed series of games, and they have a massive cult following. Every playthorough can feel unique based on your choices and the different relationships you pursue. The world building is also incredible, with the galaxy presented to you feeling fleshed out and believable. It really feels like what could exist in a hundred and fifty years from now.
