HB glam with natural light - Anka
Added 2024-06-21 12:00:11 +0000 UTCAlthough we shot this set with the studio lights in my front room, 8 also wanted to make sure I had a few images shot with natural light, so we also shoot in my back room that has floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural light. The camera settings were somewhat different, of course, with a focal length of f4.0 which makes it more arty and slightly less glam as the depth of field is more narrow. One of Anka’s comments afterwards was that her bum on one of the pics was slightly blurred (when you blow it up) - that’s because I forces on her eyes. The distance from the lens to the eyes should be pretty similar to the distance to the bum when the model is standing up but clearly it isn’t quite identical and with f4.0 it can make a difference, in contrast to the studio lighting set up in which the f-stop was set at 8.0, broadening the depth of field.
