Meet the stunning Gigi Rose

My shoot with Gigi Rose took time (and patience) to happen but I feel that just these first two images show that it was well worth the wait!

Gigi is a single mother with a young child so she wasn’t able to travel to my home studio. Our agreed shoots kept being postponed until I realised that her childcare issues are so severe that unless I found somewhere to shoot near her, the shoot may never materialise. So I booked a day use room in a hotel near where she lives. The downside was the tired decor of the hotel room but at least there was plenty of natural light as it was a corner room with two windows. I took my ring light and Roto light just in case, in the end I only used the ring light, but I even closed one of the curtains to control light better and create the right mood (I had to cover the TV with the curtain as I didn’t want it seen in the background). As you can see in one of the images Gigi is wearing a Bracli London collection pearl playsuit - which I am glad I took with me - it suited her well and she was comfortable with the pearls (or was she enjoying them lol?).

Having met her now, I will make every effort to shoot again (and again) with her. Do you think that’s a good idea?

Ps: Today our shoot was cut short by a call from the nursery informing the young mother that her son was sick, so she had to go and pick him up. We only managed 90 minutes in total but we did create over 300 images and a handful of BTS videos.
