Retouching geniuses
Added 2024-03-01 19:00:10 +0000 UTCOk I tried yesterday to encourage some discussion on the various retouched versions of the same image but failed miserably, it seems, as no one commented about that. So, here’s my second attempt. I will also add that the first three were retouched by Georgia herself and the last two by my regular retoucher Alexander Fess. I hope this additional information doesn’t bias your opinions, but I would love to hear what you think of this set. As far, as I am concerned they are both retouching geniuses. It is clear that Georgia prefers her skin tone to be true to reality - she didn’t like the warm tone in Alex’s first edit, as , unlike the majority of models, she doesn’t want to look tanned!
Come on guys, give me some strong opinions! This is more than just a point for discussion - the adorable Georgia loves retouching and has offered to do some retouching for me the future.
ps I loved the black and white edit by Georgia - tempted to stick it onto Purpleport, could be FPI marerial, if there’s any fairness.

Thanks, much appreciated. The warm tone was added by Alex, nothing to do with the white balance. In the fourth image, he removed the warm tone, as Georgia felt it made her skin look tanned

2024-03-01 20:23:11 +0000 UTC5th picture is better than 4th and 3rd because it is more tridimensional. The door is more defined, the shadows are better defined and the light looks better. Also the colors are enhanced. A professional retoucher knows better how to leverage a raw file I suppose. Not sure what to say about the warm tone. Wondering if this has something to do with the white balance setting.
