This was one of my most memorable shoots of 2021. My original idea was to do this at Aphrodite’s Rock, which is a spectacular location but the place was so crowded although it was 5 November. The day before Tanya and I managed to do a nude shoot, by heading to the opposite directions of the crowds but today there were bus loads of tourists descending on the Rock. So we headed just a couple of kilometres west and lo and behold, there was a deserted pebble beach that we could use. Mind you we were interrupted once by a passer by but he didn‘t hang around for long, fortunately.
For this shoot, we started about an hour before sunset but the light became amazing only just before sunset. I used my Canon EOS 800D with Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. To get deeper skin colours I underexposed by 2/3 of a stop.
Last but not least there images were professionally retouched by Russian Cypriot retouched Alexander Fess, who now lives in St Petersburg.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Secretly I’m hoping they will win me some awards.
