I've selected a date for both Factorio Ep. 2 AND the celebration livestream: January 7th. Mark your calendars, it should be a fun one! It'll likely be a 4-5 hour stream, playing some casual games, and chatting with everyone.

So I only want to give you some minor general tips to not ruin your experience. 1) Inserters can insert between buildings 2) If a building has a yellow arrow it can directly feed into other buildings (mining drill) 3) With ALT you can switch to a better overview mode 4) You may want to click on inserters/spliters/etc. to get additional controll ...those are just some small useful tips and I don't think they ruin your gameplay :)

2023-01-06 06:40:11 +0000 UTCAs a factorio veteran (I have over 1000 hours in the game and have played since its alpha days), I have a lot of things I can say, but part of the joy of the game is figuring it all out yourself so I won't give any tips. That being said, the one thing I will say is please push the `alt` button so that recipe icons show up. It makes everything a lot more understandable at a glance. Have fun with the game, and thanks for the video!

If he just played by stuff he read online it wold be boring. That being said the ingame Tips and Tricks in the bottom left are great and I hope Tyler takes the time to look through them

2023-01-06 05:55:57 +0000 UTCThe one advice I’d say would be checkout some of the QOL mods. For example research queue. By default there’s a setting when creating a world to allow research queue but it’s easy to miss, so a mod can help enable it. It makes life a lot easier. Second advice is just AUTOMATE EVERYTHING. I think those pieces of advice help the spaghetti grow efficiently

We seasoned players all know what optimized factories look like and I for one do not want to see more near-optimal gameplay. I want to see someone smart and creative like you build the type of delightful spaghetti that only people with less than 500hrs in the game cam build.
