Sad News

yep...

My computer decided to have a critical file corruption during the night, and all possible options given to me by the limited prompts led nowhere but round in circles.

My only recourse was to do a full OS reset, and with no recent backups, I'm gonna lose pretty much all my important files. THe only consolation I have is that the recent CYOA part 3 piece was the only majorly important project that was incomplete, so I should be able to restart that piece (maybe make it a little better than it might've been) once my system has restored.

Sadly this also means that other personal projects are now totally gone (the FFVIII Fem!Squall piece, and some others), as are any and all in-progress video recordings of them.

So in conclusion, I should be able to begin again on the CYOA piece, but no previous pieces.

Thank you for you support.

UPDATE:

Total HD corruption. I need a new hard drive.

UPDATE 2:

Ok, just purchased a new HD, and so far it looks like the install from my Windows 7 disc is going smoothly. Will update as it progresses.

(On a side note, that's the last time I buy drives from a tiny little private business. $130 for 1TB is highway robbery!)

The fact of the matter is hardware fails. You can say "Oh I have ??TB hard drive Im good" No, it will fail. "I have everything on external hard drive, Im good." No, it will fail. "Oh but I have a solid state drive. Im good!" No, it will fail also. The best thing to do to prevent information lose (because you cant prevent hardware failer) Is save in multiple locations. I dont mean different folders. I mean have two hard drives. An internal and external. Use cloud technology. (Dropbox, OneDrive, I think Google and Amazon even have it.) The worst thing you can do is save it in one spot. I know this is of little use now, but think about it for the future. Yes, it DOES cost extra time and money for this extra stuff. But how much time and money will you lose by NOT doing it? :)

Ouch, I know the pain of having the Hard Drive crap out on me. My last PC's hard drive crashed. But me being a bit paranoid, I spent a good chunk of money on an External Hard Drive "just in case", well beforehand. Can't remember how long ago I bought it, but it wasn't cheap that's for sure, haha. All the best with your new HD. ^_^

Thank you for your generosity, but that's not really necessary. But if you really want to, here;s the link: paypal.me/barretxiii
