What's coming up // December 2024

The last month of the year is here! I can't believe we've almost wrapped up another year here on Patreon. It's not over yet though - here's what you can expect from me this month!

 This month's tutorial is going to be on Stylizing Faces. This is a much-requested topic! I'll be talking about different aspects of stylizing a face, like construction, size of the features, and the amount of detail to add. I'm finalizing the tutorial structure today and will be recording it in the coming days! You can expect to see it in the Patreon feed before the end of the week.

My latest tutorial is always available to Spark members, which means you can get it for just $5! After that, it goes to the backlog - which means you need to be a Flame member to access it. This month, I want to make some fan art again for the first time in a long time! And those of you who follow me on social media or attended last month's Q&A session probably know how obsessed I am with Arcane right now - so I'll definitely be drawing my favorite girl Jinx. I'll also be making some gift art for the Secret Santa event - I got a great request and I'm really looking forward to creating some art for them!

I'll be posting WIP versions of all my drawings, from first sketch to final piece. I also got a lot of requests to share the process of my latest painting, Glare - so I'll be editing the full process video for you, and as always, I will include information about how I created the drawing, from tools to creative struggles.

This month, we are practicing effects and elements by drawing smoke & fire together! This challenge is all about capturing the energy and movement of these incredible elements, and figuring out ways to make them look magical and stylized. I collected some amazing inspiration images for this challenge - some of my favorite drawings are included in them!

You'll get reference images, inspiration, tips, and resources to help you on your way. Check out the challenge here! And if you're participating, don't forget to post your progress in the Discord server!

I'll be participating in the challenge as well, and recording my process so you can watch how I created it. I'll also be making a 20-25 minute video in which I dicuss my process, take a look at the art that you created, and discuss common mistakes. That way, you'll be prepared if you want to draw smoke and fire in the future!

As always, I'll be answering your questions in a live session - and this time I will be sure to record the audio so everyone can watch it after the stream takes place! I also got a new camera to use for streaming sessions like these, so I'm really excited to test the new setup.
