Q&A // November 2024

Here's the November Q&A session! Unfortunately I wasn't able to record the livestream session this month, but I sat down and recorded this podcast-style session as a replacement for that. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful! Next month you can expect the usual livestream-format session from me.

Some of the topics covered in this session are:

If you have any questions, feel free to post your questions in the #ask-loish channel! I will do my best to answer them in next month’s session!

thanks so much Rali! same to you :)

Loish

thanks so much! I think it's so interesting to talk about these more honest questions that people have and I'm also so grateful that they find the courage to ask them. My patrons would be the first to know if I ever wrote anything about mental health :) it's one of my favorite topics to discuss!

Loish

Thanks so much for redoing the Q&A, Loish! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Also, thanks to everyone who asked all these wonderful questions, especially about derivative art, boredom, and envy. These were all on my mind but I just thought they were personal issues, like a character flaw or beginner troubles, and not a problem for seasoned artists. The responses make me feel so much better. BTW, I would love to read any articles/books if you ever decide to write on mental health topics! ;)

*THIS* is exactly why I say you go above and beyond for us, Lois. Thank you!! <3 I can't wait to have a listen when things slow down over the holidays this month. Wishing you a wonderful end to this year -- and I'm SO excited for everything you've got planned for 2025. Stay awesome and, as always, thank you for everything you do!! <3

haha yeah, i like having some feedback / side chit chat while I talk.

Loish

Clearly, you love chit-chat Q&A more than the podcast format.😂😂😂 I think you enjoy it more 💜💜💜💜

Taghreed

thanks so much for your kind words Camille!

Loish

This really interesting and honest answer ! It’s really usefull when you quote the tutorial that can help us with our issues. There are so many of them, this is really great ! Thank you ! Currently, I am at the very beginning so I didn’t watch everything. It’s nice to know where I can find it. Thank you ! Have a nice day 😊

Camille Dlb

i didn't interpret it that way at all! although i did feel you were maybe being harsh on yourself. it's ok to follow tutorials closely 💖

Loish

I apologize if my question about derivative art sounded judgmental. It wasn't intended to judge other artists, I was focusing more on my own work and how I struggle with following other artists' tutorials to a T.

Tala

haha yeah, one thing i forgot to mention in that answer is that bodies come in all shapes and sizes and there really is no such thing as a 'correct' body in terms of proportions! thank you for your kind words :)

Loish

Loving this video so far. …about the long neck 🙂 I think it is perfectly in proportion… been told I have a long neck my whole 71 years so I see your drawing in the mirror every day 😍 Thanks a million for sharing your wealth of knowledge Lois. 🩵

Thank you so much 🥹🩷✨

Hi Lois, honestly, I don’t even know how to put into words how much I appreciate your attitude. Thank you so much!❤️ Can't wait to watch it.

Mona

Omg thank you so much for your continued dedication! I was not expecting a Q&A this month because of the aforementioned issue but this is a welcome surprise. ❤️
