Summer is almost here! It's been a warm month, so I definitely feel like it's just around the corner. Here's a little review of how this month has gone for me:

PLAYGROUNDS BERLIN

I had such an amazing time at Playgrounds Berlin! I really enjoyed being able to give my talk together with Iris Compiet. It felt a bit like doing a live podcast recording and that was exactly the vibe we were going for - we wanted a casual, open conversation about real struggles we face as artists. Here are some pictures from the event:

Thanks so much to everyone who came over and said hi! It was so great to finally meet some of you in real life. I don’t have any events planned in the short term, but I do plan on being at Lightbox Expo in October. Let me know if you’ll be there - I’d love to meet you!

PAINTING

I’m really happy with how this month’s painting, Growth, turned out!

I want to create a series of paintings around turning points and life themes, and this is the first of those. For the next ones I really want to create a similar vibe, and now that I’ve got a starting point, I’m really excited to create more! I’m gonna have to wait until after my vacation next month to get started, but I’m going to be jotting some ideas down while I’m gone - maybe even creating some sketches!

VACATION

I will be travelling in the second half of next month to make my yearly pilgrimage to a more mountainous area. The Netherlands is a very flat country and I just need to experience mountains from time to time! Don’t worry though, I’ll still be checking in on my patreon, chilling in the discord, and posting content while I’m there, so don’t hesitate to reach out. If you want to see pictures, I’m always quite active on my instagram stories, so be sure to check those if you like mountain pics! ❤
