This month’s challenge for flame members was on drawing plants and flowers! I decided to paint some roses since it’s been a really long time since I drew those. I ended up making two different versions - one softer, and one with more textured brushes and a smaller circle - and I couldn’t choose which one I liked more, so I included both in this post. Which one do you prefer?

Flame members also get the full process video, plus a resource that talks you through my (in this case chaotic) process and explains my creative choices in making these studies. It also discusses common mistakes and gives some tips! Those will be posted in a minute.
